HAWAI'I ADK GAMMA CHAPTER 2015 SCHOLARSHIP
AWARD: The Gamma Chapter of Hawai’i Alpha Delta Kappa (HADK), a professional
organization of women educators, will award two scholarships: one for $600 and one for
$1,000. These scholarships will go toward tuition expenses upon an awardee’s college
registration and are paid directly to the school.



One $600 scholarship is for a recipient enrolling in University of Hawaii Maui College
(UH MC) in Fall 2015;
One $1,000 scholarship is for a recipient enrolling in a four-year college or university
in Fall 2015.
QUALIFICATIONS: The applicant must graduate from a Maui public high school by
June 15, 2015; enroll for Fall 2015 at either UH MC or a four-year college or university;
and is a Maui County resident.
TO APPLY:
Complete the application form.
Submit a one-page personal statement.
Submit a one-page resume.
Submit an official copy of transcript signed by the school registrar.
Include two letters of recommendation (use form provided near end of this post) from
a high school faculty member AND an adult of your choice. Neither should be a relative!
Submit a recent photo (preferred wallet size) of the applicant.

DEADLINE is Friday, March 27, 2015. All scholarship applications including required documents
(official transcript, personal statement, resume and letters of recommendation) must be postmarked
by Friday, March 27, 2015.
LATE AND INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE
CONSIDERED.
Financial need is not necessary.
Awardees will be notified by the Scholarship Committee Chair by April 16, 2015 and will be
recognized at the ADK April meeting.

directly from the Registrar.

sources: (1) a faculty member at your school and (2) an adult of your choice, neither of whom can be
a relative.
