4 EASY STEPS FOR HIGH LIFT COLOR
• Determine natural/tinted level.
• Determine desired lift.
• Choose desired tone.
• Choose Color Generator for desired level of lift.
ALWAYS STRAND TEST PRIOR TO APPLICATION.
MIXING
• Mix (1:1) 1 part of CHI Infra High Lift Cream Color and 1 part of chosen CHI Color
Generator to smooth consistency.
APPLICATION
• No pre-shampooing is needed.
• Apply generous amount of product on dry hair.
• Always wear gloves.
• When doing retouches, apply only to the new growth area Avoid overlapping.
• Full head applications must be 1/8th of an inch off the scalp.

TIPS FOR FORMULATING AND PROCESSING

Q. How does Chi Infra High Lift Color lift and deposit in a single step?
A. Advanced American Chi Technology. CHI Power is the integration of 44
ingredients infused with ceramics, ionic and far Infra red producing materials.
The power of CHI lightens the hair from the inside and outside without harshly
opening the cuticle layer. This unique method will insure better and deeper
penetration inside the cortex of the hair, controlling the underlying pigments.
Ionic charge (+/-) will anchor the dyes inside of the hair ensuring the longevity
of the tone.
Q. What makes CHI Infra No Lift Color unique?
A. CHI Infra No Lift Cream Color combines the highest grade of dyes in a cream
oil base for smooth application and longer lasting color results. Ammonia
Free formula produces less swelling of the hair during color service therefore
producing stronger healthier hair with less damage to hair than conventional
ammonia based colors.
Q. How many levels can I lift with CHI Infra High Lift Color?
A. Chi Infra High Lift Blonde will lift 1-8 levels. CHI Infra High Lift Reds and Browns are recommended
for lightening on darker levels 1-6 to keep tones true to level.
Q. What is the processing time for CHI Infra No Lift Color?
A. We recommend that CHI Infra No Lift Color processes for 10 minutes under low heat with the CHI
IR Processor and then cools down for 5 minutes at room temperature.
Q. Do I need to process CHI Infra High Lift Color with heat?
A. We recommend to process with CHI IR Processor with Low heat following the recommended
timing. Especially if working on colored/tinted hair, heat is recommended. If heat is not available
process 30-45 minutes under a plastic cap at room temperature.
Q. Is the CHI Infra No Lift Color recommended for grey coverage?
A. Yes, tones may appear more vibrant when covering grey with CHI Infra No Lift Color.
Q. Can I mix different CHI Infra High Lift colors together?
A. Absolutely yes. However, if you want to achieve the purest color tones we recommend to use the
desired color tone by itself. Note: GB (Golden Blonde) is not recommended to be mixed with the
cool tones (BB & CB)
Q. Will the CHI Infra No Lift Color fade quicker than other color?
A. No. The CHI Infra No Lift Color will last 30 shampoos or more while still maintaining great coverage
and tone.
Q. What kind of techniques can I use with the CHI Infra Color Line?
A. CHI Infra Color Line can be used for full head applications 1/8” off the scalp and other techniques
such as; foiling, cap, free hand, ect.
Q. What levels of hair is the CHI Infra No Lift Color recommended for?
A. The CHI Infra No Lift Color is recommended for all levels of hair.
Q. What types of hair can the CHI Infra No Lift Cream Color be used on?
A. CHI Infra Cream Color will work exceptionally well on virgin hair as well as on hair that has been
previously colored, chemically relaxed or permed hair.
Q. Can I use CHI Infra High Lifts or Not Lift Cream Color on the same day as relaxed or
permed hair?
A. If the relaxer is done with Farouk Systems CHI Deep Brilliance and the perm is done with Farouk
Systems BioSilk Perms, CHI Ionic Permanent Shine Waves, CHI Infra High Lift Colors can be
performed after a strand test is performed. On relaxed hair the processing does not require heat
and timing will be much faster. Check the lifting/depositing action constantly.
Q. Can the CHI No Lift Cream Color be used to tint back or will you still have to fill the hair
with a warm base?
A. It is recommended using CHI Keratin Mist to fill in uneven porosity prior to using CHI No Lift
Cream Color for a tint back.
Q. Can I use CHI Infra High Lift Colors for full head applications?
A. We recommend CHI Infra High Lift Colors ONLY for foiling, cap, applications and for highlighting,
due to the intensity of the color. DO NOT apply against the scalp, this will cause staining. Full head
applications can be done. Stay 1/8” off the scalp.
Q. Can I cover gray hair with CHI Infra High Lift Colors?
A. CHI Infra High Lift Colors are not recommended for gray coverage.
Q. How many shades are there in the CHI Infra Color line?
A. There are a total of 19 different tonal shades available in the entire CHI Infra Cream Color line.
Q. Can I use CHI Infra High Lift Red Colors on blonde hair?
A. Chi Infra High Lift Red Colors are formulated to be used on brown and dark hair (levels 1-6)
Q. Does the CHI Infra No Lift Color stain easily?
A. No, not if following recommended timing and if you keep it 1/8th of an inch away from the
scalp.
Q. How do you do a retouch application with CHI Infra High Lift colors?
A. A retouch is done exactly in the same manner as you would retouch any highlighting service.
Q. Can the CHI Infra No Lift Color be easily lifted out with CHI Blondest Blonde or SunGlitz
Lighteners?
A. We recommend using Infra High Lift cream to cancel or neutralize the unwanted tone.
Q. Will a higher CHI Color Generator give me less color deposit?
A. Color Generator will mainly determine the level of lift. Higher developer may give you more
intense and vibrant color results especially if working on very dark levels and on tinted hair. Follow
the instructions.
Q. Is rinsing and home maintenance important?
A. Absolutely yes. Always rinse thoroughly, shampoo with CHI Infra Shampoo and towel dry. Apply
a generous amount of CHI Color Lock for 5 minutes and rinse. Apply a few drops of CHI Silk Infusion
and leave in. For home maintenance always recommend CHI hair care Home Support System.
Q. Can I use other developers and do I have to mix always 1:1?
A. CHI Infra Cream Colors are specifically formulated to work only with CHI Color Generators. Equal
mixing ration will guarantee maximum lift and intense color deposit.

product contains ingredients which may cause skin irritation on certain
individuals and a preliminary patch test must first be done 48 hours before
using this product. This product must not be used for dyeing the eyelashes
or eyebrows; to do so may cause blindness. Do not use on facial hair or other
parts of the body. Always perform a strand test on hair and a patch test prior
to application as it can cause an allergic reaction. Rinse eyes immediately if
product comes into contact with them. Keep out of reach of children. Follow
the instructions. Do not use product if scalp shows abrasions, scratches or
any other abnormal conditions. Do not use if the hair is in poor condition or
shows signs of breakage. Do not apply the product against the scalp. CHI
