To Cottonwood employees, I would like to say thank you for helping me out
when I am having my hard times and when I am having a bad day. I think I
came a long way, when I first got here, I had an attitude and I think I was all
that. I want to tell you I am done with all that. At Cottonwood I started to
realize I needed to work on my treatment and not worry about others.
— Josie
Wow, the things I learned from Cottonwood are immeasurable. When I first
got here I thought it was punishment but at Cottonwood there were people
to guide me, help me up when I fell and most of all, push me when I lost
motivation. For a person who came here with a “fake it to make it” attitude, I
have learned more here than I have in my whole life for I have confronted my
fears. I also completed two college courses.
I would like to thank every person I have come into contact with at
Cottonwood, you have all made me a better person.
— Opamago
I’ve definitely changed a lot at Cottonwood. For nearly two years I struggled
with heroin addiction. I was as low as it could get a lost cause. After four
months into treatment I still thought about getting high. Once my mind
cleared I started making right decisions, I became a leader, started working
on my high school diploma. For once in my life I didn’t sell myself short. I
reached for the stars, I now carry myself with confidence. I love the person I
have become.
