About Concert
Since his sensational début at the Metropolitan Opera in New York in a performance of “La Traviata” in 2006,
Jonas Kaufmann has numbered among the top stars on the operatic horizon. The international press has single
d him out as the “new king of tenors”. Insiders praise him as the most important German tenor since Frit
z Wunderlich.
The concert at Seoul Arts Center on June 7th, will be his very first operatic concert and appearance in
Korea. The orchestra will be accompanied by his very own conductor, Jochen Rieder with Euroasian Orchestra.
The repertoires will include Verdi’s Tosca, Bizet’s Carmen, Verdi’s Luisa Miller, Massenet’s Werther and many
more.
In addition, the artist is in discussion to invite the greatest soprano, Hong Hei Kyung as a guest artist which
will be a best opportunity to hear these two legendary artist to sing together!

CONDUCTOR: Jochen Rieder
Born 1970 in the German Palatinate, Jochen initially took up positions as conducting assistant and Kapellmeister
at German State Theaters in Karlsruhe and Bremen. In 2001 he became a permanent ensemble member of Zurich
Opera, Switzerland, where he remained until 2014.
Regular collaborations include some of the greatest singers of our time, such as Jonas Kaufmann, Peter Seiffert,
Waltraud Meier, Nina Stemme, Thomas Hampson, José van Dam, Matthias Goerne, Renée Fleming, Matti Salminen
and Michael Volle.
Orchestra: Eurasian Philharmonic Orchestra
Residing at Chungmu Art Hall, Eurasian Philharmonic Orchestra is concentrating on developing its own projects, in
which it devotes itself to musical perfection, such as the art hall's inaugural concert, periodical concerts, Chungmu
-Gallery Concerts, Summer Music Festival, POSCO Symphony Concert, concerts hosted by universities, etc. EAPO h
ad a series of successful tour concerts in 2006 in Paris , Varazdin, Opatija and Ljubljana. The Orchestra is holding a
