PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT The Brain Fitness Program Is a workout for the brain featuring six computer-based exercises. The exercises target roots of cognitive function that improve processing speed, working and narrative memory and sound discrimination, precision and sequencing. This is a great introduction into the world of singing, dancing and acting for stage, and is a wonderful place to learn self-expression! JAZZ I Ages 6-10 Dancers will learn jazz terminology as well as rhythmic accents, turns, jumps, and choreography. Practice the pattern of center warm up, core strengthening, center stretching, across the floor turns, and jumps. A professional musician will teach learners the basic concepts to producing a good tone and reading music. Students may provide their own instrument or rent an instrument from the Kroc Music Department. INTERMEDIATE BRASS Ages 7+ A professional instructor takes students beyond the basic concepts to the essentials of playing in a group. This is an excellent opportunity for those students who have completed Beginning Band, or for adults who want to relearn lost skills. Students may provide their own instrument or rent an instrument from the Kroc Music Department. ADVANCED BRASS Ages 14+ Blow your horn in a British-style brass band! The Salvation Army has more than 100 years of music making in brass bands, and this group plays swing, rock, marches, classical, and much more. Participants must already know how to play a brass instrument and read music. PERCUSSION PRIVATE DRUM SET LESSONS Ages 7+ Learn to play the latest tunes, big fills, and a variety of styles; taught by a renowned local rock drummer.
