Holy Innocents’ has an overall record of 172-37 under Coach Watkins’ leadership. The Lady Bears have won the Region Championship in each of the last three seasons, while reaching the GHSA Final Four in 2013 and the GHSA Finals in 2014 and 2015. Coach Watkins was named the GACA Region Coach of the Year in 2013, 2014 and 2015 and was recognized by the Atlanta Tip-Off Club as the Garland Pinholster Metro-Atlanta Girls Coach of the Year (Class 1A-3A) in 2014 and 2015. Basketball for me is a way of life, and it is our goal to grow and promote girls’ basketball in the Atlanta area. I look forward to seeing you this summer! ! To the Hoop, -Coach Tony About Our Assistant Director: Coach Mekisha Parks has been a staple in Lady Bears Basketball for the last twenty years. Before returning to her alma mater to teach and coach, Parks played collegiately at Emory University. Prior to attending Emory, Parks experienced a stellar prep career at Holy Innocents’ where she led the Lady Bears to a Final Four appearance in 1997 and a State Runner Up in 1998.
