Fields is fast and gentle! There are now two
Proactiv® 3-Step Systems: Original Proactiv®,
introduced 15 years ago, and New Proactiv®
with micro-crystal acne medicine-an
advanced form of benzoyl peroxide (BPO)
recently included by Drs. Rodan and Fields.
What is New Proactiv?

New Proactiv contains our exclusive micro-crystal benzoyl
peroxide in Step 1: Renewing Cleanser & Step 3:
Repairing treatment (Remember, it’s now called Repairing
“Treatment” not lotion).

This new micro-crystal is small enough to gently slide into
pores and clear acne. The formulas are the same great
formulas as Original Proactiv. The Benzoyl Peroxide used
in Proactiv is prescription grade and developed exclusively
for Proactiv. The particles are now many times smaller;
it’s designed to be fast and gentle.

If your guest is happy with their results on Original
Proactiv, there’s no need to change. However, New
Proactiv is a great first option for your guests to try before
you recommend a switch to either our salicylic acid Gentle
Formula if the guest is experiencing dryness or irritation
but is not too sensitive to BPO or our 8% BPO ExtraStrength Formula if the guest’s acne is not as consistently
clear as they would like.
But…the New Proactiv is not just about the product,
it’s about the experience…from Day One!

®
Use existing flow of scripting located on the intranet,
adding these points when appropriate.
Existing cart Guest who heard about “New” Proactiv and wants
to try it.
While we are excited to make New Proactiv available, let me assure you
that the ClassicProactiv is still as effective as it has always been. The
changes that have been made are a reduction in the size of the
benzoyl peroxide to tiny micro-crystals. Both product still contain
prescription grade Benzoyl Peroxide and the same tiny exfoliating
beads. If you are getting the results that you need with the Original
Proactiv there is no reason you shouldn’t continue using the product
that you have.
Existing Guest purchased Classic Proactiv and wants to
exchange for New Proactiv within the 60-Day MBG.
Explain to the Guest using the scripting above. If they insist on
exchanging for the New Proactiv® and the product is unopened and
they are within their 60-Day MBG, process the exchange.
Guest is returning Proactiv.
You can recommend New Proactiv if the guest is experiencing dryness
or irritation but is not too sensitive to BPO or if the guest’s acne is
not as consistently clear as they would like. Suggest New Proactiv®
before Extra-Strength & Gentle-Formula.

Guest Says: How is New Proactiv® Different from Classic Proactiv®?
New Proactiv® contains our exclusive micro-crystal benzoyl peroxide (BPO) in
Step 1: Renewing Cleanser & Step 3: Repairing treatment. This new BPO is
refined to be small enough to gently slide into pores and clear acne. The formulas
are the same proprietary and effective formulas as Original Proactiv, with the
same luxury skin-care ingredients-only the active ingredient has been updated.
Guest Says: What is different about the new micro-crystal benzoyl
peroxide, and how is it better for my skin? Will New Proactiv® work faster
than the original formula?
This benzoyl peroxide is prescription grade, and is exclusive to Proactiv®. The
particles are now significantly smaller.
Guest Says: Will I be able to tell the difference between New Proactiv®
and Classic Proactiv®?
You should not be able to see or feel the difference in formulas. New Proactiv®
has the same great texture and fragrance as original Proactiv®. With the addition
of the micro-crystal BPO, New Proactiv® is simply gentler and faster acting.
Guest Says: I like my Classic Proactiv®--are the formulas any different?
Original Proactiv® and New Proactiv® have the same formula; New Proactiv’s
Cleanser and Repairing Treatment contain updated versions of the active
ingredient, featuring ultra-fine prescription-grade micro-crystal Benzoyl Peroxide
(BPO). This ingredient was developed by and exclusive to Proactiv.
