Chesapeake Cornice with Pleated Wrap Supplies and Tools: Standard 40" Cornice • Always measure twice and cut once. Write down the dimensions for easy reference. • When using a large print fabric, purchase an adequate quantity so that a specific motif will appear on the window treatment as desired to allow for pattern-matching. • In projects that require a 54" width fabric, a non-directional 45" width fabric may be used if railroaded. Railroading means to turn the fabric sideways so that the length becomes the width. • If fabric is loosely woven, or if fraying fabric edges is a concern use a product such as June Tailor® Fray Block. Apply to raw edges of fabric and allow to dry. Dries soft and clear. • When creating multiple matching window treatments for the same room, measure each window. Windows do not always have identical dimensions. • June Tailor® Chesapeake Cornice Kit • 2/3 yd of 54" main fabric • 1/2 yd of 54" lining fabric • 1/2 yd of 54" accent Fabric A • 1/2 yd accent Fabric B • Measuring & marking tools • Iron & pressing surface • Drill, phillips-head screwdriver bit • Staple gun Directions: For detailed directions, visit joann.com/projects.
