The sixth Bulldog PRIDE (personal responsibility in daily excellence) Breakfast was held on March 31st.
Teachers were in attendance and each invited a student who had been showing Bulldog PRIDE in their
classroom on a daily basis and leading by example. Each student was served breakfast and Mr. Jackson thanked
them for setting a positive example in our hallways and classrooms. Students were given a Bulldog PRIDE ink
pen and bracelet and each student was put into a drawing for door prizes that were donated by HannibalLaGrange College, Northwest Missouri State University, Truman State University, B&H Graphics, Moberly Area
Coummunity College, University of Central Missouri. The following students were invited to attend: Faith
Cook, Ryan Crawford, Tanylea Malloy, Logan Curtis, Cy Noah, Justin Wood, Tristan Lynch, Keaton Hodges,

FFA News:
WE’RE JUST THAT GOOD - Became a top six finalist in the National FFA T-shirt contest! Thank you to everyone who
voted! Our shirt will be sold at the National Convention, in “The Blue Book”, and at ffa.org. The chapter will be featured
in the “Blue Book” promoting th t-shirt. We will also receive 1/2 of all profits for the 1st year of sales!
Jessica Davison became the 2nd student in LaPlata history to become an Area III Officer as she will serve the area as reporter over the next year.
March 21st the Chapter hosted the 1st Annual Luck of the Irish Banquet & Fundraiser. Over 150 people attended, prime
rib and chicken was served along with green beans, corn, salad, a roll, and cheesecake. Mr. Kennedy and The Busted String
Band was the featured entertainment. Several door prizes were given away to ticket holders. Cardinal tickets, seed corn, a
John Deere print, and a customized Ruger 10/22 were auctioned off that evening. Over 30 FFA members and their families
helped make the evening possible by gathering door prizes, setting up, and serving the guests that evening. Members are
already looking forward to and planning the 2016 Luck of the Irish Banquet!

Proposition KIDS: A revised Propsistion KIDS will appear on the April Ballot. Items to be included in the bond are an

ART CLUB NEWS: The annual La Plata Spring Concert & Art Show was held on March 19th in the LHS Commons.
Many spectators partook in refreshments provided by the band boosters and art club while viewing the wonderful display
of student artwork. On Thursday, March 26th, the art club enjoyed a painting & pizza party after school. A creative variety of projects was worked on while students got a chance to talk and snack with friends in between their layers of painting.
