The 4th Annual Conference of Laryngology and
Voice Association is being held at Apollo Gleneagles Hospital, Kolkata from 21st to 23rd August
2015. The conference will be deliberating on issues relating to voice disorders, swallowing problems, airway management and LASERS in diseases of larynx and throat. There will be one day of
live surgery and 2 days of lectures.
Diseases of voice are on the increase in
the society today. Diagnosis of such diseases has
improved with the advent of Flexible laryngoscopes and HD cameras. Stroboscopes have revolutionised the way vocal cords are visualised.
LASERS are being increasingly used to treat diseases of larynx.
Over 300 delegates from India and
abroad are attending the conference to learn recent advances in Laryngology. A host of national
and international faculty will be delivering lectures
and demonstrations. Dr Vasant Oswal is a world
authority on LASERS. Dr Paul Castellenos, is an
authority on Lasers and Robotic surgery. Doyens
from Singapore, UK, US, Hungary, Bangladesh
and Russia will be faculty for the conference. National faculty includes specialists from Pune, Delhi,
Chennai, Hyderabad, Lucknow and Mumbai.
A conference workshop for training of
delegates will be conducted at Apollo Hospital,
Kolkata. Faculty will be demonstrating finer aspects of surgery on larynx and trachea.
