SPRING CLEAN UP DAY 1. 61 • Mayor's Letter I I ;, The City annual spring clean up day will be held on May 15th. Have your items out by 7:00 AM so you're not missed. Items that ARE NOT accepted: Hello from the Mayor's Corner, Hopefully Mother Nature is done with her winter fury and green grass and the sound of running lawn mowers is in our near future. If you see] ay or Gary thank them for the fine job of snow removal they did this winter. Our streets were always cleaned in a timely manner. With daylight savings time and warmer weather comes kids and residents out walking or running. Please keep an extra out for them. Please notice the dates for spring cleanup and the Irish Fest. There is a lot of planning and time involved to make the Irish Fest successful so make sure to join in on the fun! THIRD ANNUAL LAWLER IRISH FEST JUNE 19th, 20th, and 21st anti-freeze The Lawler Irish Fest committee has been busy preparing for Lawler Fest III. Besides the multiple hours in the planning phase, they've also been involved within the community: waste, or chemicals. There is a 4 yard limit per household, that's about a pickup box size. TV's - COMPUTER MONITORS - MICROWAVES All televisions, computer monitors and microwaves Continuing to sponsor the City of Lawler website will be picked up on May 15th. There will be a $20.00 charge for each of. these items. All items Donated basket items for the Turkey Valley Education Foundation for their ann undraiser and to the St. Patrick's Irish stew dinner must be paid for at City Hall by May 14th to be picked up on the 15th. Project Share is a plan. created by your municipal utility. to assist needy households in paying their winter energy bills. You can help by adding a regular PS contribution to your monthly utility payment. or by making a direct donation to Project Share. These funds will then be distributed to neighbors in need for wintertime energy costs. $3,000 from the New Hampton Hotel Motel Tax Committee for the second year in a row $1,000 United Way Funds by Diane and Ryan Sheridan $500.00 grant from Black Hills Energy The committee is very appreciative of the generosity of the above named donors as we continue to make the fest an annual event that locals, families and friends from near and far enjoy. Those qualifying for help will be carefully identified by an area social service agency. A local committee will oversee Project Share to guarantee all contributions will be handled equitably and eHiciently. We want to introduce ourselves to you, THE LAWLER PARK COMMITTEE: Deb Zubrod, Deb Throndson, Kadi Reicks, Kristina Boos & Halli Reicks. We are a non-profit organization working together, along with you for a common goal, to renew and make our parks safe and enjoyable for all children. Our parks are in desperate need of updating. Much of the equipment is breaking down and not within safety codes. We are looking forward to working with all of you. We will be sending out more information in a couple of weeks. Thank you
