Using LBG LBG’s measurement framework has been developed by an active network of corporate community involvement (CCI) professionals from many of the world’s leading companies. Let’s dispel some myths A lot of companies like the idea of LBG, but might feel nervous about joining a group that operates with its level of openness and sharing. Myth 1 “I don’t have all the data, surely I can’t participate”: NO company has ever joined the network with the perfect data system in place, in fact, that’s precisely why many join Myth 2 “We only have input data don’t I need to be measuring impacts”: Application of LBG is journey that most companies are partway through. Many begin by getting their inputs right before moving to impacts Myth 3 “I’ll have to share information about all the individual projects my company supports?”: Benchmarking within LBG is limited to overall program data (e.g. total spend, total employee involvement etc.) Myth 4 “LBG is just for big companies with big community budgets”: LBG is about understanding how to make the most of the resources you have available. Companies using LBG have annual contributions budgets ranging from tens of thousands of dollars to hundreds of millions and anything in between. All can benefit from using the framework Myth 5 “LBG is complicated”: At its heart LBG is a simple input/output model that can be applied at a pace that works for individual companies. Each can choose when and how to apply different aspects of the framework and so increase the sophistication of their application as they go Still don’t feel ready? Then there’s an option for you If, despite the reassurances above, you still don’t feel ready for full membership, then you can take advantage of LBG through limited use of, and access to, its data portal. For just £1,950 our data account (name TBC) provides you with a login to the portal and access to its data collection and compilation functionality, to enable you to apply LBG to individual projects, automatically compile company/operation –wide results and see how those relate to wider trends. We hope that through its use you see how straightforward LBG is and how valuable it can be in helping you understand, report and manage your contributions. The data account option is a self-managed application of LBG, it comes with some limited support time to set up your data collection and access to recorded webinars. Please note that the data account does NOT provide access to LBG member benefits such as benchmarking data, events, workshops and webinars, consultancy support or use of the LBG logo. Nor does it entitle a company to refer to itself as a member of LBG.
