“GRADUAN®
ASPIRE is a
great opportunity to meet
a wide range of graduates
from diverse backgrounds.
There is a lot of energy and
enthusiasm in those who
visited us at our booth last
year. Fariz was one of them.
Good academic results aside,
Fariz had good communication skills, asked good questions about the firm thanks
to the prior research he had
done about us as well as our
competitors, which demonstrated his interest in joining
PwC.” – Mona Abu Bakar,
head of resourcing, human
capital, PwC Malaysia
“I was
attracted to
join GRADUAN® ASPIRE due
to the variety and quality
of companies participating. I visited all the booths
that stirred my interest and
managed to get a number
of face-to-face meetings
with potential employers
and explore various career
options that helped me
make an informed decision
to be part of PwC.” – Fariz

Talents were invited to take part in an exciting challenge for an opportunity to shadow CEOs
from top Malaysian organisations. To a panel of CEO judges, each talent had to make a pitch as to
why he (or she) deserved the coveted spot. The challenge drew a lot of attention and excitement
from the crowd as finalists went all out to make their case. Six winners were handpicked by the
CEO judges.
“Had I not
visited
GRADUAN®
ASPIRE, I would
never have
found out about
Maybank GO Ahead
Challenge (MGAC), which then led
me to join the Global Maybank
Apprentice Programme (GMAP). I
submitted my resume online and
was shortlisted to be a finalist of
the Maybank GO Ahead Challenge
(MGAC) after a series of tests
and interviews, following which
I was also offered a position in
the Global Maybank Apprentice
Programme.” – Jylene Tay Yih Jia,
analyst, client coverage-regional
coverage, Maybank Investment
Bank
“GRADUAN®
ASPIRE
is one of the
biggest graduate
recruitment
platforms in
Malaysia and is
visited by thousands
of graduates who are seeking their
dream careers. Career fairs have
been the perfect hunting ground
for decades and a lot of successful
people in the corporate world today
found their dream careers at fairs
like GRADUAN® ASPIRE.
“Jylene was shortlisted from
the applications received during
GRADUAN® ASPIRE. She stood
out from the rest of applicants as
she dressed professionally, spoke
with confidence and knew the
type of career that she wanted,
which definitely helped to make
her a good candidate to be
assessed further.” – Chen Fong
Tuan, executive vice-president,
head, group talent sourcing &
development, group human
capital, Maybank Group
READ WHAT OTHERS
HAVE TO SAY ABOUT
GRADUAN® ASPIRE
2014!
“The best
part about
GRADUAN®
ASPIRE was
definitely the
GRADUAN® ASPIRE
500 Conference where
graduates had the chance to listen
to top CEOs sharing their expertise
and experience. While there are
a lot of interview or career tips
available online, receiving advice
from top leaders is normally one
of its kind and truly inspiring.” –
Muhamad Hayqal Suhairi, management trainee, Celcom Axiata Bhd
“GRADUAN® ASPIRE
provides
an official
platform for
employers like
Celcom Axiata to
meet top talent
of the country in one
common location thus enabling a
better process of recruitment. It
is interesting to meet talent from
diverse backgrounds and academic
achievements. Speaking with
these graduates helps improve
employers’ understanding of their
values and perspectives, which
will be useful for employers in the
recruitment of graduates into their
organisations.”
– Rohaiza Ahmad, group talent
management, Axiata Group Bhd
“The interactive and
networking sessions organised
at GRADUAN®
ASPIRE allow us to
informally interact with
job seekers and other industry players, which in turn allows us to gain
insights into the recruitment arena.
GRADUAN® ASPIRE has always provided us the platform to meet with
candidates that not only possess
superior academic achievement but
also those who dare to be different.”
– Norlida Azmi, group chief human
capital officer, UEM Group Bhd
“We are looking forward to the
upcoming GRADUAN®
ASPIRE 2015. It is a great
platform for organisations like Shell
Malaysia to meet and network with
remarkable talents eager to kickstart their careers. We had lots of
fun last year and I am sure this year
will be even better!” – Sheila Bala,
campus marketing adviser, Shell
Malaysia
