Recent Developments of Director Liability
Law for Nonprofits, New OIG Regulations
and the Impact Re: Lemington Home for the
Aged
On April 20, 2015 the United States
Department of Health and Human Services
(HHS) Office of the Inspector General (OIG)
issued guidance aimed at the governing
boards of healthcare entities. The guidance—
issued in conjunction with associations of
healthcare
auditors,
attorneys
and
compliance professionals—aims to inform
healthcare boards regarding their oversight
duties. Boards and board members should
understand that OIG is expecting them to
play integral and active roles in their
organization’s compliance. Boards cannot
rely on upper management for compliance,
but must be prepared to create structures in
which the individuals responsible for
compliance and related areas have direct and
open contact with their respective boards.

Your Brand is More Than a Logo
So often times, communities and companies
think that rebranding solely means changing
the logo and the colors you use. Your true
brand is so much more than that. Your brand
is truly the essence of who you are and what
you promise and deliver to your consumers.
With this presentation we will talk about how
to find your true brand essence and how that
manifests itself into your logo, tagline and
collaterals. We will explore words that are
standard in today’s senior living brands
(CCRC, retirement, home, manor) and why it
is time for a change. We will also share
examples from Nordstrom, Southwest, Subaru
and others about how they fulfill their brand
promise every day through traditional forms
of media as well as social media.
Angela Hamilton, Executive Vice President,
Antsey Hodge Senior

Are You Prepared? (The Impact of ACA and
