we have glimpses of the
impending summer.
People are anxious to open up
their cabins, get yards and
beaches ready for yet another
fun filled lake season.
We hope this newsletter finds all

OPEN BOARD POSIONS
Election of new board members will
take place at the annual meeting.
There will be 4 positions open for the
board. The members who will be
leaving the board include: Tammy
Ressler-membership, Todd Bollinger
, Casey Smith and Jason Boutwell
who resigned earlier this year.
Thank you for the time they have
given to all the lake association
events. The Lake association is
active and working but does so, only
if you get involved. Please consider
being on the board.
Garage Sale June 6th 7:00-2:00
New clothing
Leaf Lake will once again be holding, the around the lake
Garage Sale on Saturday, June 6, 2015. The Association will
pay for signs & ads in the local papers. Times will be 7:00
AM till 2:00PM.
New Leaf Lake clothing items have been ordered.
Please check our Facebook page for updates on
when and where to purchase items. We will have t-shirts,
sweatshirts, children’s clothing and hats.
GARBAGE DISPOSAL
Detroit Lakes Disposal has
been assisting us the past
couple of years with Lake
Clean Up. If you are
considering using a garbage
disposal service Dave and Ron
at Detroit Lakes Disposal are
great!

LAKE EVENTS
Clean-Up Day June 13th @7:30
Detroit Lakes Disposal is once again assisting us with our
around the lake Clean Up Day.
This is a great opportunity for lake association members to
help clean-up around the lake. Leaf Lake’s Clean-Up Day for
2015 will be held on Saturday June 13th. Once again we are
asking for your help to make this as smooth as possible.
Please follow the guidelines listed:
** Please separate materials such as metal, concrete,
plastics batteries, paint, etc.
** Please put smaller to medium items in boxes or garbage
bags for easy handling.
** Please have your items at the roads edge the night or
day before.
**Crews will NOT PICK-UP RECYCLABLE ITEMS OR
COMPOST or large amount of building materials. No
hazardous waste.
** Crews will NOT pick-up TV’s due to the high disposal
cost.
** Please help load your items if possible. If you would be
available

Bollinger’s place by 7:30 at 15356 Blackhawk Road
LAKE EVENTS continued
4th of July Brats in the Bay-12:00 PM
Due to low participation in the last couple of years we will not have a parade. We will
host a “Party in the Bay”. Come on out for Brats, hot dogs and chips. Look for the
pontoon with the Leaf Lake Association banner.

The Leaf Lake decorated Adirondack chair will be presented to the best decorated
boat that comes out to the bay. The winner will get to keep this chair for the
remainder of the 2015 summer season.

ANNUAL MEETING-JULY 11TH --Twin Shores 10:00 AM
Thank you to everyone who came to last year’s annual meeting at Weedy Lake
Vineyard. It was great fun and a huge turnout. Unfortunately, we are not able to
hold this annual event there this year due to the vineyard closing.
This year’s annual meeting will be held on July 11th with a breakfast at Twin
Shores.
Breakfast will begin at 10:00 AM with meeting to follow.
Cost is $11.00 per person for breakfast. The buffet will include:
Scrambled eggs, hash browns, French toast, sausage, bacon, Orange juice and
coffee
A bloody mary bar will also be set up for individual purchase

**New clothing items will be for sale at the annual meeting.
