May 12 –Coaches meeting @ 10:30am, matches start @ 11:00 a.m.

Note: All times listed on the draw sheet are approximate. Matches will be put on as the courts open
up. Please keep tabs with the tournament director for the updated times. Players must check in
with tournament director prior to every match played.

TYPE OF TOURNAMENT:
12 entry tournament with first round single
elimination and modified double elimination for
all following rounds. First round for both singles
and doubles will begin @ 11:00am. There are 3
berths in both singles and doubles to the district
tournament which will be held May 18 and 19
at Sehome High School

TENNIS BALLS:
The tournament ball will be Penn, yellow. Two
new balls will be furnished for each match.
MATCHES:
All matches will be best 2 out of 3 sets. USTA
rules will prevail.
ENTRIES:
The tournament will consist of three singles
entries and three doubles entries from the
following 2A district 1 schools: Archbishop
Murphy, Granite Falls, Lakewood and
Shorecrest
COACHING:
While players are on the court, No coaching is
permissible by coaches, players or other
spectators. Coaching is permissible between the
1st and 2nd sets (2 minutes allowed, players to
remain on court), and during the break between
the 2nd and 3rd sets 5 minute break (players may
leave the court). Players and parents should be
advised prior to the tournament that no
coaching is permitted from spectators as well.
WARM UP/REST PERIOD:
Each contestant will be allowed a 10 minute
warm up period, including practice serves. In
doubles both balls will be used simultaneously.
A minimum of 15 minutes of rest will be
allowed between matches. No athlete or team
will participate in more than 3 matches in a
given day.
ARBITRATION OF DISPUTES:
Any disputes will be settled by the tournament
director and 2 neutral coaches.
ORDER OF PLAY:
To be determined by the Tournament Director
DRESS/UNIFORM:
Team uniforms are required.
AWARDS:
No Awards for Sub-District Tournament
SCORING PROCEDURES:
Players are responsible for keeping and calling
their own score. Should an error be made in
scoring, correction must be made before the end
of the game.
CONDUCT:
The tournament director is given the authority to
warn any player who displays un-sportsmanlike
conduct, including temper and profanity.
Disqualification will go by USTA rules:
warning; game; match. All infractions will carry
throughout the tournament.
LINE CALL DISPUTES: If a player feels that her opponent has made
multiple incorrect line calls; she is to bring it to
the attention of the tournament manager. The tournament manager will monitor the situation
and then determine if a line judge is warranted
