countryside, where
writer Howard Holt
is visited each weekend by his wife, who is also his publisher. During the week, he is joined by his
mistress - a fact of which his wife is well
aware. As the action begins, the departing mistress is (apparently) run over and
killed by the wife, and Howard gallantly
offers to dispose of the body.

Hafer (bass) and Dave Dunscombe (drums) performed on

6th Annual Shorts Aloud Festival
Once again, Lemon Bay Playhouse’s Readers Theater
will be presenting their annual Shorts Aloud Festival.
This will be its sixth year, and this popular event is
always well attended. A unique form of live theatre,
the actors always give the audience a laugh-filled
performance with twists and surprises. Show times
are February 28 at 7:30 pm and March 1 at 2:00 and
7:30 pm. Mark your calendars and buy your tickets
soon at the special price of $12.00.

Readers Theater
LBP Readers Theater is open to those interested
in reading or hearing plays in a group setting.
Meetings are held at the playhouse on the first
Monday of each month from 9:30 am to noon.
No theatrical experience is necessary to participate. What is a readers theater? In this setting,
actors do not memorize lines but read from scripts. It is a good way for new
actors to try their hand at public performance and to gain familiarity with
other skills such as script analysis, character development, and other acting
tools. It is a delightful way to enjoy hearing new plays with fellow theater
fans!
Readers Theater Outreach Program Members are available to perform at
local libraries, clubs, and other community organizations free of charge.

Volunteers Make A Difference
It takes a lot of people to support a good community theater. Nearly every
task at LBP is performed by a volunteer. The most visible volunteers are the
actors on stage, but there is an entire cast working backstage before and during every production. Other volunteers help manage activities such as the
box office, house managing, and special events.
There is always a need for hard-working, dedicated individuals to serve on
the Board of Trustees. Every non-profit organization needs those who possess skills in management, finance, development, strategic planning, and
public relations. The opportunities for involvement in LBP are almost endless. If you are interested, we’ll find a special role here just for you. Call the
