Remove LAMP FRAME from Housing by pulling straight out. The frame is locked into place via 4 ball catch retainers See Fig 1. Fixture Housing Ball Catch Studs ELECTRICAL CONNECTION: The housing features an easy access WIRING ENCLOSURE for simplified field wiring installation. Ball Catch Retainers DO NOT modify the factory wiring settings as it may cause the luminaire to malfunction. Provide electrical service, according to the “National Electrical Code” or your local electrical code. Gimbal / Lamp Frame Notes: Review fixture labeling to make sure it is rated for the voltage installation being used. Make sure no bare wires are exposed outside the wire nut connectors. INSTALLATION: (*2 MOUNTING OPTIONS) 1. REMOVE THE ELECTRICAL ACCESS panel from the inside at the top of the housing. See Fig 1 *2.Junction Box Mounting - Knock out center location at top of housing / mounting bracket. SECURELY FASTEN HOUSING to MOUNTING SURFACE with applicable hardware and connect power supply lines to quick disconnects provided. Mounting Surface Junction Box *3. Suspension Cable Mounting - Designed for optional SUSPENDED CABLE system, cables provided for convenience. See SMH Suspended series instruction sheet (attached). 4. FEED POWER SUPPLY line thru the access panel and RE-ATTACH PANEL. Electrical Compartment Access Panel 5. REMOVE LAMP RETAINING RING from gimbal, set lamp into gimbal assembly, carefully SECURE LAMP WITH RETAINING RING AND CONNECT SOCKET. 6. ATTACH POWER SUPPLY line to lamp sockets and SLIDE LAMP/GIMBAL FRAME INTO HOUSING. 7. Reattach LAMP/GIMBAL FRAME by pushing frame into housing and firmly snap into ball catch receivers. Screw Toggle Nut in place on 1/4 - 20 Screw using several turns. See Fig 2. 2. Make 3/4 inch diameter hole through Ceiling. See Fig 2. Page 2 of 2 FIXTURE MOUNTING: 1. Measure desired vertical height of ceiling to fixture. 2. Cut loose end of Cable to measured ceiling to fixture height. 3. Depress Griplock Glider Device Plunger and insert loose end of Cable into Griplock Glider Device. 4. Release Plunger to secure Cable and tighten plunger cap. See Fig 4. HARDWARE MOUNTING: 1. Press Toggle Nut Closed and slide through 3/4 inch hole in Ceiling. See Fig 2. 2. With Toggle Nut Expanded tighten Cable Coupler until Ceiling stays tight between Toggle Nut and Cable Coupler. See Fig 3. 3. Screw Ceiling Coupler Cable Assembly onto screw. See Fig 3. DO NOT modify the factory wiring settings as it may cause the luminaire to malfunction. Provide electrical service, according to the “National Electrical Code” or your local electrical code, from a suitable junction box (octagonal junction box recommended). Make sure no bare wires are exposed and canopy, cable mounting is set securely in place.
