Dear Children,
The holidays have begun. It is time to have fun. Time for us to catch up with all that we
have been longing to do. Go for a long walk with your parents and enjoy the beautiful
morning sunrise and evening sunset, admire the beauty of nature, hear the chirping birds
and see the fluttering butterflies.
It is time to catch up with Grandma’s never ending stories and play wonderful games with
Grandpa.
To add to this fun time, we have prepared some fun-filled activities to be done in the
SCRAP BOOK.
1. Draw four objects using Triangles, Squares, Circles (For eg. If you want to use
Triangles to make a Figure, then use lots of triangle but no Squares, Rectangles or
circles.)
2. Paste Pictures of the meals you take in a day. Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks and Dinner.
(Cut out pictures from magazines and newspaper.)
3. Know about a railway station. Paste pictures related to it (for eg. Ticket counter,

3. Activity – Know your Name
Knowing the letters in your name, and the order they go in, is an important sign
of kindergarten readiness. But it’s not as easy as you might think! Children
need repeated practice, and at this age, their restless little bodies demand
that the practice be as hands – on as possible!
What you need:
1. Letter Cut outs
2. Scissors
3. Glue
4. Colours
Activity:- 9
What to do:
1. Take the cutouts of the letters in the child’s name.
2. Paste the letters on a strip to form the child’s name.
3. Spell his/her name aloud and point to each letter as you name it. On a
second reading, have your child join you.
4. Next give another set of letter cutouts to the child to match and paste
below it.
After your child gets good at her /his name puzzle, try creating additional
words like mother’s name, father’s name, brother’s name, and words he/she can
relate to etc. You can also play letter games likes Simon Says. Put a variety of
letters cutouts on the dining table or in the floor then say, “Simon says take
out letter C”, and so on.

Activity- Sock Bunny!
Need something to do with all those lonely socks that lost their mates in the
wash? Try a little creative, eco friendly activity and turn those misfit socks
into bunny puppets! Children can tap into their creativity while doing their part
to help the environment by reusing the waste.
Activity:- 11
What you need:
1. 1 light – colored sock (look for socks with textures or patterns)
2. Rubber Band

6. Markers
7. Fabric glue/Fevicol

colored tissue paper since newspaper may show through.
2. Fold over the empty part of the sock and wrap a rubber band around to
secure it in place. The rubber band also helps separate your bunny into
two parts, head and body
3. Cut two slits in the top of the bunny’s head where the ears would go.
4. Have your child cut out two bunny ears from the cardboard. What shape
is a bunny’s ear?
