Powerful Speaker Returns
Date & Time: Thursday, May 7 at 7PM
Last year, Dr. Kevin McCauley came to the
Liberty Theater to speak about the science
of addiction. McCauley has spent years
researching the neuroscience behind
addiction, and is a powerful advocate for
addicts, supporting their rights to make
informed choices about their lives. By popular demand, he is returning to present new material
on how addictive brains operate, and share ways individuals
can make recovery work. His visit is sponsored by the
Coalition for Youth and Families.
Admission is free. Refreshments will be provided.

Make New Friends and Enjoy Movies on Us Become a Volunteer!
New Exhibit Opens in
Liberty Lobby
The Liberty is currently looking for friendly people who would like to help sell
tickets and concessions during our regular movie nights. Movie volunteers are
tremendous; we couldn’t do what we do without them. In exchange for
working in the lobby during the half hour before a show, and cleaning up at the
end, volunteers get popcorn, soda, and admission to the movie. Stop by the
theater for more information, or send an email to [email protected].
A new show featuring works by local
artist Michele Smith opens in the Liberty
lobby on May 1. Smith, who has explored
a number of mediums, will display some of
her recent watercolors and alcohol ink
tiles. The exhibit runs through June.
