What’s Happening
at LIFEDesigns?
Homeward Bound:
April 19, 1 pm
Buskirk, Hill and
Homeward Bound Bloomington 5K Walk
For the second consecutive year, LIFEDesigns will participate as a
benefitting agency for the Homeward Bound fundraising walk. Our
goal-to raise $10,000 for our customers.
This year the money raised through homeward bound will go in our
Customer Fund. As many of you know, this is a fund that in the past
has been completely funded by LIFEDesigns employees through payroll deductions. This fund supports our customers financially in their
times of greatest need related to housing, medical equipment, and
therapeutic services.
Go to LIFEDesigns website or Facebook page and look for a link to
Homeward Bound. You can help us raise money by getting pledges
from your friends and family members and walking at the event.
Pledge forms are available in the main office, or you can request one by
email from [email protected].
NADSP Coming to Bloomington!
On May 13th and 14th LIFEDesigns and Stone Belt will be hosting an
AMAZING conference with the National Alliance for Direct Support
Professionals. This is a one day conference, but we are offering it twice
to help as many people as possible attend– you are not going to want
to miss this!

April 2015
Training Calendar
CPR, First Aid, CPI and Medication Administration Renewal is
due for each employee before their individual expiration date.
Staff will be notified by Accel. If you need to attend a renewal
class all classes are held at the Main office on Winslow in Bloomington. Please call Jillian East at 332-9615 ext. 231 to register.
Protection and Advocacy renewal is completed online at
lifedesigns.remote-learner.net. A CE form must be submitted to
the EDC when complete.

Drills & Customer Training Topic
Please be sure to conduct Fire Drills in April for all
settings where LIFEDesigns is responsible for the
environment. Drills and Health and Safety Reviews are
due by the end of the month. YOU CANNOT BACK
DATE HEALTH AND SAFETY REVIEWS. Thank you
for continuing to protect the health and safety of the
customers we serve by being proactive and prepared!
The customer training topic for April is
“Falls”. Please refer to the information sheet in
customer training packet and complete the
customer training documentation form on the
reverse side of the Emergency Drill form.
TB TESTS
The nurses will be giving TB tests
every Monday morning and reading
them every Wednesday morning at
the Bloomington office.
You need to be here between
9:00am -10:00am on both days.
