LIMITED WARRANTY Light Corporation warrants that all products sold hereunder to be free from defects in material and workmanship, when used under normal industrial usage for lighting. Light Corporation defines the normal industrial usage for lighting as a chemical free environment safe for employee occupation without the use of additional/ special personal protective equipment and without the use of chemicals prohibited by the Light Corporation. There are no implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Light Corporation warranty periods described as follows: 10 YEARS Light Corporation warrants its standard delivered DayStar, Zeon, Semaphore and BayLite light fixtures shall be free from defects in manufacturing and workmanship for ten (10) years from the date of invoice, when used in normal conditions, excluding power supplies, lamps, lamp holders, ballasts and other purchased components. 7 YEARS LED Power Supplies warranted for a period of seven (7) years. LED Power Supplies determined to be defective must be returned through the Light Corporation RMA process for credit. 5 YEARS 120/277VAC Linear Fluorescent Ballasts and 480VAC Auto-transformers are warranted for a period of five (5) years when used in manufacturer stated temperature and environmental conditions. Ballasts determined to be defective must be returned through the Light Corporation RMA process for credit. 3 YEARS 480VAC Linear Fluorescent Ballasts, linear fluorescent lamps and lamp holders are warranted for a period of three (3) years when used in manufacturer stated temperature and environmental conditions. Lamps and lamp holders are to be replaced within three years to maintain full fixture warranty. Lamps with manufacturer’s warranties of longer than three (3) years should be address with manufacturer after the Light Corporation warranty period. Light Corporation extends the manufacturer’s warranty for all purchased components and makes no extension or other warranty regarding these products other than stated above. During the warranty period, Light Corporation will repair, or at its option, replace the defective product/component during the stated warranty period. This warranty applies only to the repair or replacement of the product/component and only when the product/component is properly handled, installed and maintained according to Light Corporation/Manufacturer instructions. This warranty excludes defects resulting from improper handling, storage, installation, acts of God, fire, vandalism or civil disturbances. Purchaser must notify Light Corporation in writing within 45 days of defect. Light Corporation reserves the right to change the warranty period without prior notice and without incurring obligation and expressly disclaims all warranties not stated in this limited warranty. Light Corporation, at its discretion may choose to prewarrant an order for shipment to Mexico or Australia/New Zeeland for certain products. Should Light Corporation decide to Pre-warrant an order, Light Corporation will ship replacement components at no cost in quantities commensurate within a single standard deviation of experienced field failures. In such a pre-warranty case, a letter of notification will be given to customer outlining the order has been pre-warranted and the additional parts are to cover failures within the warranty times outlined above. If a pre-warranted order exceeds the replacement component allotment, Light Corporation will work with the customer to include component manufacturers for resolution. This warranty does not apply and no other warranty applies to: » » » » » Normal wear and tear, which are to be expected over the course of ownership. Damage caused by the carrier in-transit, which will be handled under separate terms. Damage as a result of poor storage or warehousing of the product. Modifications or attachments to the product that are not approved by Light Corporation. Products that were not installed, used, or maintained in accordance with the product instructions and warnings. WARRANTY ACTIVATION / SERVICE CLAIMS This warranty is automatically activated after Light Corporation receives full payment for the product. Product not paid for in full will not be warranted. Warranty claims can be made by contacting Light Corporation Customer Service with the warranty reference number to initiate the process for problem resolution. LABOR OPTIONS This warranty excludes field labor or service charges related to the repair or replacement of the product/component. Additionally, no labor allowance is made for any lamp and/or ballast replacement during the warranty period. However, if a material and/or workmanship defect is discovered, Light Corporation may consider, at its sole discretion, to reimburse user for labor options per the following: 1. 2. 3. Labor options must be pre-approved by Light Corporation. Any labor option not pre-approved will not be eligible for reimbursement. Should a labor option be approved, Light Corporation shall contact a service provider and coordinate replacement at no cost to the user of product/component, or Light Corporation will reimburse the purchaser reasonable, customary, and necessary labor charges required to install the replacement. RETURN OF DEFECTIVE PRODUCT/COMPONENT If product is found to be defective, within its warranty period, please contact a Light Corporation customer service representative for a Return Material Authorization number (RMA). After contacting Light Corporation and receiving a return material AUTHORIZATION NUMBER, the user shall promptly return the product and/ or component at the user’s expense to Light Corporation after receiving instructions as to if, when and where to ship product/component. Failure to follow this procedure shall void this warranty. See terms and conditions for RMA procedure. REPLACEMENT OF PRODUCT/COMPONENT, LIMITS OF LIABILITY The foregoing shall constitute the sole and exclusive remedy of the purchaser and the sole exclusive liability of Light Corporation. NO WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE IS MADE OR IMPLIED. Light Corporation will not, under any circumstance, whether as a result of breach of contract or warranty, tort, or otherwise, be liable for an incidental, special or consequential damages, including lost profits or revenues or any other costs or damages. Light Corporation guarantees the good quality and manufacturing of its own materials, assuring the Ordering party, within the warranty period indicated above, to repair or replace as soon as possible at no charge all products which are defective or useless as a demonstrable consequence of poor material, faulty construction or defective workmanship. Light Corporation reserves the right to examine all failed products and/or components and reserves the right to be the sole judge as to whether any products and/or components are defective and covered by this warranty. Products requested for examination and not returned will not be considered labor options. Claims for natural deterioration, damages due to inexperience or negligence of the Ordering party, overloads beyond contractual negotiations, unauthorized actions, tampering made by the Ordering party or by a third party for him, fortuitous events or causes of major force will not be responsibility of Light Corporation. Warranty is valid only if our articles are assembled in accordance with the instructions given in the technical sheets or in the General Information about their use, which can be found in our Product Guide. For the components which are not manufactured by Light Corporation, the warranties of the Manufacturers have to be considered.
