Baby of the year 2015 Terms and Conditions
1. The competition will run from 19 April 2015 up to and including 29 August 2015.
2. By entering the competition, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. This is mainly
an online competition and you must enter by sending your entries to
[email protected] or post your entries in the box provided at Maseru Mall,
Lesotho.
3. Participants must be either the parent or legal guardian of the baby. Little Feet Foundation
reserves the right to request proof of such relation. If it is proven that there is no relation between
the baby and the person who sent the photo, that person will indemnify Little Feet Foundation
against any claim from any third party should the baby be chosen as a finalist.
4. Baby/twins/triplets can only be entered once during the qualifying competition period. Entries are
final and photos cannot be changed. Participants will be automatically placed in an age category
based on the age of the participant at the closing date of the competition on 31 May 2015. The age
categories are Girls 0-12 months, Boys 0-12 months, Girls 12-24 months and Boys 12-24 months.
5. To enter the competition a parent/guardian has to send a baby’s picture, the baby’s name, baby’s
age, parent/s name and parent/s contact details to [email protected] or deposit
the entry with all the mentioned details in the Little Feet Foundation box at Maseru Mall. There will
be some assistance on Fridays between 9.30am and 5.00pm, 01 May to 29 May 2015, for parents
who may have questions. The photo may not be larger than 2MB –only JPGs or GIFs formats
accepted. Photos submitted must be recent and taken within the last 3 months
6. The baby may not be older than 24 months by the closing date of the competition on 29 August
2015. Twins and triplets should be entered together in one entry.
7. The competition is open to all participants in Lesotho. You are not eligible to participate in this
competition if: - a. You are a director, member, partner, employee, agent or consultant of Little Feet
Foundation b. You are an immediate family member, of the persons specified in 7(a).
8. FINALISTS (a) A panel of judges consisting of Little Feet Foundation staff, our sponsors and guest
judges will select 24 finalists based on which entries were the most adorable/cute and represent the
Little Feet Foundation brand best. (b)The 24 finalists will be announced in groups of 6 on the
following date: 5 June 2015, chosen from each category (Girls 0-12 months, Boys 0-12 months, Girls
12-24 months and Boys 12-24 months). (c)The 24 finalists insert will be provided in the newspapers
11 June 2015. Finalists will also be announced on Little Feet Foundation website and Little Feet
Foundation Facebook page. (d)The finalists will be contacted via telephone within a day of the
decisions.
9. Details will be given in each insert for the public to vote for their favourite 12 finalists from 11
June 2015 to 11 July 2015 via sms (SMS costs M1/R1 per sms).
10. The 12 finalist babies, 3 in each category will be announced on the Little Feet Foundation
website and Little Feet Foundation Facebook page on 17 July 2015 and will be featured in July,
August 2015 weekly newspapers releases for the final Baby of the year voting.
The voting for the last 4 finalists including baby of the year will commence from 18 July to 21 August.
The baby of the year based on highest number of SMSes will be announced at the Gala Events 29
August 2015.

12. If after 3 attempted calls the organisers cannot reach the initial winner, the baby with the second
highest amount of votes will be renamed the winner.
13. The winner and finalists will be expected to fulfil the following/some duties from time to time
and until the next Little Feet Foundation Baby of the year competition:
• Be available for photo shoots and be willing to feature in any advertising for Little Feet Foundation
and its sponsors for free.
• Furthermore, the parent or guardian agrees to their baby’s image being used by Little Feet
Foundation. This may be, but not limited to, print, television, in-store and on-line material.
• Provide/Share information on Baby i.e likes and dislikes, favourite food, favourite toy etc.
14. Little Feet Foundation, sponsors and their delivery agent does not accept responsibility or
liability for any loss or damage and will also not be responsible or liable for any further expenses or
fees required for purpose of using, applying or enjoying the prize won in this competition.
15. Little Feet Foundation reserves the right to vary, suspend, postpone or terminate the
competition and any prizes, or any aspect thereof, for any reasons whatsoever and without notice.
In such event, you hereby waive any rights or expectations which you may have against Little Feet
Foundation and acknowledge that you will not have any recourse or claim of any nature against
Little Feet Foundation
16. By participating in this competition, you consent to (i) the processing of your personal
information by Little Feet Foundation and sponsors, any of their operators, agents and subcontractors (who may be outside Lesotho) on the condition that they will keep such information
confidential; (ii) the retention by Little Feet Foundation of your personal information for as long as
permitted for legal, regulatory, fraud prevention and marketing purposes; (iii) Little Feet Foundation
using your personal information to send you information about products, services, and special offers
of the various sponsors that may be of interest or value to you.

Your baby’s age category will be determined by the age he/she will be on 31 May 2015.
