Welcome Welcome to Little Goslings, on the following pages you will find information about who we are, our setting, and what your child’s day will entail. About Danielle My name is Danielle Tunnard. Since leaving University my passion to work with children grew. I became a Teaching Assistant which saw me working with children with a range of needs and challenging behaviours. I then became a Family Support Worker which saw me supporting families from many different backgrounds. I then went on to have my daughter Ellie and during this time, we attended many groups at children centres and playgroups, which developed my knowledge and experience of learning through play. I gained a Level 3 Three Diploma whilst working with the children and young people. I have a portfolio of all my training that I have completed, some being safeguarding, play for life, story sacks, behaviour management, food safety, paediatric first aid and a range of courses on the Early Years Framework. About Jayne My name is Jayne Gosling; I live in a converted barn with my partner John, who is a farmer. We have various pets which include two black Labradors, three hens, three ponies and one horse. I have gained my experience of working with children within a Primary School setting. Whilst working there I achieved an NVQ Level 3, as a Teaching Assistant. I also have valuable experience in looking after my nephews, nieces, God-Children and friends children. I have a portfolio of all the training I have completed such as the Paediatric First Aid course, Food Safety Course and a range of courses on the Early Years Framework and Safeguarding. Danielle and I have been friends for many years and it felt like a natural progression in both of our lives, to have a high quality childcare provision, with unique features, to enable children to learn through play indoors and outdoors, in a safe and secure environment. We have both been inspected and are registered with OFSTED. About Little Goslings Little Goslings is a unique service, set in 16 acres of farm land, on the outskirts of the village of Kirton. Little Goslings is located on a working arable farm, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Boston, preserving the quiet and beauty of its natural surroundings. The setting provides the children with optimal access to the outdoors, whilst remaining in a safe loving and nurturing environment. We provide high quality childcare for children aged 6 weeks to five years, also offering care for older children during the school holidays. Our ethos is centred around the fantastic outdoor surroundings that Little Goslings has to offer. The sessions involve outdoor activities in the fields and woodlands such as gardening, building dens, nature trails and a mud kitchen. Little Goslings works solely on the basis of parents and staff working together in partnership with each other. It is a requirement of our Child Agreement that both parties must be completely honest at all times. This includes advising us of any change in circumstances for the child. At Little Goslings each child is allocated a key worker, this is your child’s special person who will care for your child, help settle them in and who keeps the lines of communication open between home and the setting. Daily feedback sheets are sent home each session which have been designed to share important information on how your child has been, activities they have enjoyed exploring, what they have eaten and key achievements that the staff have noted that day. We also have Tapestry an online learning journey system where parents can see their child’s progress and achievements. Little Goslings has a Parent’s Board which has information on upcoming events, what theme the children are looking at in that term and activities and services that can be accessed within the community. A copy of Parents Guide to the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework can be viewed on our website: littlegoslings.org. Thank you for considering Little Goslings. We look forward to working with you to help your child develop in a safe and positive learning environment.
