a short history
The residence of Peter and Mary Wickham between 1726 and 1772,
Wickham House made its mark in the world of print when it became
home to the Richmond and Twickenham Times in 1873. The paper
was acquired by the Dimbleby family in 1894 and it stayed in their
ownership until 2001. As a tribute to the building’s literary history,
each of the eight new properties have been named after famous writers
from the last century.

to reflect the building’s industrial heritage. Metallic finishes, industrial
styled lighting and concrete-effect tiling enhance the look, while providing
stylish and contemporary accommodation.

include self-cleaning ovens, the latest in induction hob technology,
plate warmers and energy efficient dishwashers and washing machines.
Units are handle-less, providing simple elegance and clean lines with
soft-close doors and space-maximising interior fittings. The cooker
hoods have been supplied by Italian design-led company Elica and
a separate utility area is provided wherever possible, hidden behind retro
steel doors.

The bedrooms are fitted with super-soft, luxurious deep-pile carpets
and made-to-measure fitted wardrobes. Farrow and Ball paints in
calming, neutral shades soften the metallic feature walls and finish
the look, while copper and steel lighting and accessories grace each
respective colour palette.

High quality Duravit sanitaryware has been used throughout the
development complemented by Hansgrohe showers and taps. All of
