a short history
The residence of Peter and Mary Wickham between 1726 and 1772,
Wickham House made its mark in the world of print when it became
home to the Richmond and Twickenham Times in 1873. The paper
was acquired by the Dimbleby family in 1894 and it stayed in their
ownership until 2001. As a tribute to the building’s literary history,
each of the eight new properties have been named after famous writers
from the last century.
