Hello Everyone,
As of writing this, we are still looking for a Programs Director. This is a fantastic part of this
club and we hope to continue it. The Programs Director arranges for the demonstrators to come
into our monthly meetings (excluding July and December). There is a list of demonstrators to
contact and of course, there are many local club and art organizations that have people who
would like to demonstrate or you may know someone. There are many people in the club to
help out and get you started if you are interested. This is also a job that can be shared or
arranged in advance, if you are not able to make every meeting. Please let one of the officers
know if you would like to help with Programs. It is a great way to meet many local artists.
Sad News
Our condolences and warm sympathies go to LAAC member Anna Briggs, whose husband
passed away recently. A memorial service was had on Friday, March 27th.

Brian Corral
Brian Corral will be our demonstrator for April - he is an artist teacher at
the Pacific Art League.

With paintings in collections around the world and a growing list of
international exhibitions the work of Brian Sal Corral is both in high
demand and ever-growing. Starting as a stylized portrait painter almost 20
years ago, Sal's work has grown into his mature style by expanding the
intrinsic unseen qualities of life that drew him to portraiture. Those unseen
qualities are now the center of his paintings, and the people that inspire the
flowing energy of life seen in his work are the bridge for the viewer to
enter their world.

News
Reminder: New venue Pizza Studio
Location: San Antonio Shopping Center in Mountain View, on the left of Safeway.
It is a Non-Juried show, No Mosaic and Majority are small size 12x12, no more than 20”.
Artists will need to sign the consignment form from Pizza Studio which will be provided by My-Xuan Ho in her
notification email of the exchange. Artists will drop off the art work and the Operation Manager will handle the
hanging. See our LAAC website for complete rules on venues.
Our member Vaishali Sanghavi is having a solo show in Berkeley of her new work From March 19th to May 8th.
Please ask her for details if you wish to attend.

Art Studio:
The ongoing class meets in Room 12 every Wednesday, 9:30 am - 12:00
noon for you to do your art and enjoy a supportive and creative art
environment. Make sure to check in at the Senior Center first and pay the
small drop-in fee ($1/members; $3/non-members). Bring your current
art or craft project.

Oregon coast. Artist's Reception, Friday, April 3, 5-8pm (First Friday in Los Altos). Transparent watercolors
are Veronica’s primary medium. She prefers the inspirational immediacy of plein air painting. She is most
inspired when engaged in outdoor activities such as traveling, backpacking, hiking and skiing.
