FEEL SO GOOD, une forme d’écoute - master thesis directed by Christophe Kihm
2012-2013 Redaction for «artpress» magazine
Statement
I want to turn the exhibition space into a place of
enhancement of vitality and intense pragmatic
experiances.
I take part in my sound installations with Antoine Bellini
as performers.
I consider these performances as a shift of situation,
as a time of choregraphic presentation (rather than a
representation), an intensification of relations between
objects and the audiance’s bodies.
I use the sound phenomenon as a stimulating plastic
element. The exhibition space becomes a vibrating
background where I build animist relations with objects
and where I lead plays between elastic bodies stimulated
by sound.
The exhibition space becomes the privileged place where
experience and alternate realities are possible if we’re
willing to consider the experience as the very meaning of
this construction.

Sound Sculpture, 2015
170 x 25 x 35 cm
Leather, speakers, sneakers, electric wires
Muscles or Wires is a sound sculpture from the figure of Frankenstein and from cyborgs.
It’s an electric body in a handstitched tube of leather. The sound produced is composed by a
syntheziseur and represent the sound generated by defective electric circuits.

Sound perfromance with Antoine Bellini
Light : Florian Leduc
This performance is about sound propagation and his continuous distortion between space and
corps. The relationship with what you hear is the heart of this piece, from a simple resonance to a
trance state. I explore differents sounds and audio effects on my body and his movements.
Thoses connections are materialized by costumes designed to fit speakers and dancers as well.

No information, pattern for public sector is a sound sculpture broadcasting a repetitive
synthetizer sequence at low volume.
This tall and authoritarian looking sculpture intends to drive the exhibition space to a
more scenic and social area. The 6 - 4 - 2 exhibiion is a projection space curated by Yann
Chateigné around the american composer Robert Ashley and a group of experimental
performers, actors and musicians, the « Once Group »

Space that will not be recorded
Sound Performance filmed and broadcasted from Le Magasin with Antoine Bellini
National Contemporary Art Center,Grenoble, France
10 octobre 2014 - 30 minutes
« Space that will not be recorded » is our proposition for the project of Lili Reynaud Dewar and
Benjamin Valenza « Performance Proletarians !!! Join us !!!», a program of performances filmed
in the auditorium of the Magasin and broadcast live on youtube.
Our performance is about the constraint to transcribe by vidéo a sound performance
and the «off-space»

Flat reverb
Sculpture, Sound diffusion
steel plate, acoustic panels, contact microphones, vibrating speaker, synthesyzer
Flat reverb is a sculpture that spreads the sound of a syntesizeur through a large steel plate,
which oscillates and transforms the sound with a reverberation effect.
The modified sound is recieved by contact microphones, re-amped and spread straight on
to acoustic panels.

Sound Sculpture, 2014
steel, brass, leather, speaker on stand
240< x >320 cm / ø 65 cm
Behind the curtain is a sound sculpture that spread the sound of a little syntesizer through
a leather curtain.
The leather skin becomes the second membrane of the speaker and the sound is formed
with this second skin, which transforms it and turns it smooth.

Sound performance
27 juillet 2014 - 10 minutes
Twenty nine ideas is a sound performance that represents the system of ideas coming
together and the thinking pattern through an electric system.
I am wearing a costume on which are taped several light bulbs.
A wireless microphone is hidden in my sleeve and amplifies the sound of the tape that I tear
out in order to pick a light bulb off my suit and plug it in the electrical system on the wall.
The performance is over when the two eyes made out of the twenty nine light bulbs are
completed.

Pas de bourrée, pas de biche
Parc Saint Leger, Contemporary Art Center, Pougues-Les-Eaux, France
Sound performance with Antoine Bellini
23 mars 2014 - 20 minutes
Pas de bourrée, pas de biche is a performance in which Lou Masduraud dances with Sarah Tritz’s sculptures exhibited in the Parc Saint Leger. We had hung in the middle of that
exhibition, in between two metallic sculptures, our own sculpture called good good good
good (vibrations) which interacts with the magnetism surrounding it. The movements of Lou
Masduraud are the magnetic source of a strange melody, which is manipulated during the
performance by Antoine Bellini.

Sound sculpture / Thérémin instrument
Wood, leather, élèctronics
123 x 50 x 50 cm
good good good good (vibrations) is a sculpure that is sensitive to magnetism, it produces
sounds according to the physical and magnetic activity happening around it.
It is about translating distances and positions into sound.
good is a sculptural research integrated to various projects, an object around which I build
other researches, performances and concerts.
The electronic system, the calibration and the optimisation of the sound width of the basic
system (a Moog Etherwave) were operated by Thierry Frenkel, an engineer and a specialist
of the first generation of electronic instruments.

Chaine d’excitation, de l’outre à l’oreille
Centre d’Art Plastique ( Fine Art Center ) Saint-Fons, France
Sound performance
17 avril 2013 -15 minutes
This performance is about the intense industrial memory of the city of Saint-Fons, located in
the suburb of Lyon.
A large steel plate vibrates with sounds provided by two similar forms, also electronic musical
instruments, devices and stage design objects.
The reverberation effect created by the vibration of the steel sheet is strongly amplified.
By carrying objects, caressing them, positioning them, I compose simultateously a strange
sensual image and an industrial music piece.

Béton, steel, aluminium, low frequencies speaker
A speaker broadcasts a frequency around 20Hz, hardly perceptible to human ears. The metallic
membrane in front of the speaker vibrates sympathetically.
The performance is an improvised dialog between Carmen Lefrançois on barytone saxophone
and the Om sculpture.
