What is Intensive Outpatient Treatment?
The Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program (IOP) is more intensive than
traditional outpatient and is designed to achieve short-term stabilization and
resolution of immediate problem areas. The client and family are offered
services by a team of professionals. The client is enrolled in a time-limited
program with other clients working on similar issues. The treatment team may
include licensed therapists, substance abuse counselors and a doctor.
About Substance Abuse IOP
Adults who are addicted to alcohol or other drugs often deal with incredible
challenges when faced with ongoing responsibilities. They may have difficulty
seeking treatment, given their commitments to family, work and other
obligations. In addition, their physical and emotional health, as well as their
relationships with others, tend to suffer.
Mélange Health Solutions’ Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program
provides individualized and focused treatment for men and women, offering
them renewed confidence and hope for the future.
Program components include goal setting, psycho-education and medication
management. Individual and family sessions are scheduled as needed.
