Hello Everyone!
Summer if finally here! As many of you have already heard, Maccripine Country Club and Farmville
Country Club have merged. This means that all members, at both clubs, will have total access to all amenities at these clubs. All
tournaments and events will also be open to members of both clubs. An updated tournament schedule is included with this newsletter. Please be sure to read it as some changes have been made.
Kendall Strickland will once again be attending the pool at Maccripine Country Club. Starting this year he will also be overseeing
the pool at Farmville Country Club. Pool memberships will be $400.00/year. The daily guest rate will be $8.00/person. Pool memberships will include access to pools at both clubs.
We will be having a Spring Social on May 30th, between both clubs, at the Farmville Country Club clubhouse. A pig-pickin’ with
all the trimmings will be provided. PLEASE sign up early so that we can plan accordingly. Sign up sheets will be available at both
clubs. The cost will be free for members and $6.00/guest. Festivities will begin at 3:00 pm. Food will be served at 5:00 pm. The
pool will be open and inflatable bouncers will be provided for the kids to enjoy. Bring the whole family for a fun filled day.
Lastly, we will be conducting a fundraiser in order to raise money for sprigging the fairways at Maccripine this Summer so that we
will have better grass for the Winter and Spring of 2016. Tickets will be $10.00/each. Prizes will be listed on the tickets. Our goal
is to sell 500 tickets. Drawings will be held July 4th, at 6:00pm, at Maccripine Country Club. We would like to thank you in advance for your support in the matter.

Hello Everyone,
I hope everyone enjoyed a nice Easter holiday and is looking forward to warmer days at Maccripine! The golf staff has been working hard to ensure your next outing is enjoyable! In addition, new merchandise is arriving daily in the pro shop.
The 2-Man Blind Draw on April 11 was a big success. Winners in the gross division was the team of Raymond Cobb/ Charles
Hesch. The net division was won by the teams of Ray Wilson/Johnny Williamson and ML Baker/Merion Kent. Thank you to everyone who participated in this event. We’re kicking off our month with our annual Member-Member Tournament scheduled for
May 2–3. Entry Fee is $200.00 per team and includes cart fee both days, lunch both days, drinks on course both days, skats, and
prizes. Format for this tournament is 18 Holes Best Ball gross and net on Saturday and 18 Holes Captains Choice on Sunday. Maccripine will be hosting Faith Christian Academy’s Superball on May 4. The Pinetops Lions Club Superball is May 7th. June 6-7 we
will be having our Maccripine Invitational. This is an individual stroke play event. The entry fee is $100.00 per player and includes
cart fees, lunch both days, drinks on course, and prizes. This tournament will be flighted after Saturdays round and is open to players from all around the area. We would love to see everyone out participating in these events.
Maccripine's Men's Golf Association held a meeting prior to our 2 Man Blind Draw and there have been a couple of rule changes
that I wanted to highlight. It was voted on by those in attendance that the new age limit for playing from our Senior tees be changed
from 65 and older to 62 and older. Also it was voted on that anyone playing in any of our tournaments, must be a member of Maccripine's or Farmville's MGA. Our next MGA meeting will be held on May 2nd @ 10:45am.

Hello Everyone,
First of all, thanks to all the members who have supported FCC. Second, we want to thank the staff for the extra effort
and time spent working through this past winter.
We are building a berm around the pond on 13 fairway to slow down the drainage from Hwy 264. We have re-routed
some run-off water from the Hwy as well. Please understand this will take some time as Spring has sprung and grass
will need to be cut. All extra time will be spent finishing the project.
We welcome some new members. Also we welcome some new faces in the Pro Shop Kendall Strickland and Bill
Webb. We are also gearing up for some new items in the Pro Shop as soon as some contracts are complete.

Hello
After another cold and rainy winter we welcome spring for all the beauty it brings us. I don’t know about you but I have
a serious case of Spring Fever. If you do too, don’t worry, Dr. Rose (AKA Pro F.C.C.) has the prescription for you.
Grab your clubs and head to either M.C.C. or F.C.C. and play all the golf your heart desires and watch as your winter
blues become a glimpse of the past. If your game needs a tune-up Tommie or I will be glad to work with you to get
your game in peak condition. As we continue to move forward with the merger of both clubs and begin to mirror the
likeness of the two clubs I am certainly excited about the new possibility it brings us. What I can use, from you the
members, is to make lots of hole in ones, eagles, and best rounds ever. I look forward to seeing all members and HAPPY GOLFING TO ALL! Pool season is upon us. Pool activity will begin soon.

Hello Everyone,
Well, I know it will, the question is when will it warm up. The
next newsletter, remind me of this, hopefully we’ll be wanting it
to cool back off, a little. With it being so cold and rainy, we’ve
pretty much been on hold other than normal operations. We have
been verti cutting a lot, with all the rain and cold the dreaded
poa-anua has been something to deal with. As soon as we get
consistently in the 80’s temperature wise you’ll see it gone.
We’ve been aerating some of our greens that have been slow but
seeing improvement. We’re just going to have to be patient.
