Streaming Video: Streaming Video courses feature recorded lectures and class sessions which are accessed via the Internet. It’s like being in the classroom, but at home. Flipped Curriculum: Students are expected to watch short videos prepared by the instructor in advance of class so that in-class time can be used for collaborative, problem-solving, and/or discussion-oriented activities. Some courses are delivered completely via flipped curriculum, while other instructors supplement in-class materials with short videos. Some flipped courses are also streamed. Online: Online courses let students and faculty interact with each other as class members totally over the Internet. Instructional courseware utilizes web pages, discussion groups and UWC e-mail. Online courses do not meet at a particular time or place, but they are structured within the academic semester timeframe and require class participation several times each week. Blended: A Blended course is a 15-week semester course where the course content is taught using faceto-face and online or “time-out-of-class” learning modes.
