Clear Picture Reception and New Work Come meet the student curators and see the new installation! Wednesday, April 15, 2-4 p.m. At the Haggerty Museum of Art Free and open to the public Clear Picture: Looking at Communities from an Art Museum is an experimental project that transforms the Haggerty’s permanent collection and upstairs gallery space into a multi-disciplinary textbook and laboratory for 4 Marquette undergraduate Journalism and Spanish courses. Students assist in curating the exhibit while learning how to conduct research on art and interpret works of art in a variety of written and oral genres. The project began in the fall of 2014 and runs through the spring 2015 semester. Clear Picture was organized by Dr. Eugenia Afinoguénova (Associate Professor of Spanish, Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures) and Dr. Pamela Hill Nettleton (Assistant Professor, Journalism and Media Studies, Diederich College of Communication) and has been recognized with the Way Klingler Teaching Enhancement Award, which supports the development and implementation of innovative teaching projects. Dr. Julia Paulk (Associate Professor of Spanish, Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures) is teaching the Clear Picture Spanish classes during the spring semester. Don Doll S. J.
