Parish Council News
The Parish Council is pleased to welcome Mr Paul Hurkett
as a new Councillor. Once again there were a number of
people expressing an interest in joining the Council, and
Mr Hurkett was appointed by vote among the existing
membership.
The Community Led Plan meeting will take place at
7.30pm at the Community Centre on April 22nd 2015.
This is an opportunity for all members of the village to take
part in producing a forward thinking document to influence
the future of the village. It will look at issues such as
planning, infrastructure, facilities, community
opportunities, and will then give a blueprint for
organisations and the Parish Council to work towards.
The Community Led Plan need to be, exactly as it says,
Community Led. The Parish Council is calling the
meeting and giving this chance to members of the village
–but it cannot run it. Members of the Community need to
attend the meeting, and take charge. You do not need to
have any experience, or particular skillset—just an
opinion, and a desire to give people in your Parish a say
in the future of the village they live in.
There is always a call for better publication of Council
minutes—they are taken at one meeting, and authorised
at the next, at which point they are available online, the
Clerk maintains a distribution list if you would like to
receive these to your email inbox. They have only been
uploaded to the website once approved, but the Council
has agreed they should be on the website in draft form.
