Panel Discussion and Conclusion Educational Objectives: This workshop is intended to provide an update and give an overview on the understanding of anemia in adult and pediatric patients with cancer. Special attention will be given to controversial issues like: Negative impact on survival in patients with solid tumours receiving ESA’s, the role of transfusion and the timing of initiation of treatment with ESA’s special patient populations like Multiple Myeloma and other hematological malignancies and post transplantation type of formulation and treatment and dosing schedules, Cost-effectiveness and quality of life issues will also be discussed.
