Presented as part of their Annual Event recently held April 22 at The Pullo Center in York, the occasion allows the organization the opportunity each year to publicly honor and recognize those companies making a difference in the regional economy, the lives of their employees and the local manufacturing sector. Recognized as Manufacturer of the Year was New Concept Technology, Emigsville, PA. The firm – which began in a local garage – today has operations which currently employ more than 200 local team members in a 200,000 sq. ft. facility on a secure 20-acre site. New Concept Technology has experienced 60% revenue growth and added 60 new jobs in the last two years alone, and today includes among its customers major firms in the areas of automotive, military, telecom and medical devices. Honored as Community Investor was Harley-Davidson Motor Company, York Operations. Harley-Davidson was honored for its commitment to the greater York region, though the funding and thousands of volunteer hours contributed by its employees to support more than 40 non-profit and civic organizations. Harley and its employees have donated, sponsored and raised over $375,000. Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology, Lancaster, was recognized as the association’s Partner of the Year.
