Lectures will cover current theories and evidence regarding types of cervical dizziness. Lab sections will allow participants to perform recommended clinical assessment and intervention strategies. This course is designed for the outpatient physical therapist and a basic knowledge of common vestibular disorders is beneficial but not required. Demonstrate a differential diagnostic strategy to determine the likelihood of a cervical dizziness diagnosis Evaluate treatment options and implement treatment progression for individuals with cervical dizziness. Ithaca College Frank DiLiberto PT, MS, OCS, FAAOMPT has practiced outpatient orthopedic physical therapy for eight years. He is a board certified orthopedic clinical specialist and completed a fellowship in orthopedic manual physical therapy at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Frank began specializing in dizziness in 2003 after receiving a certification for vestibular rehabilitation through the APTA. He has attended multiple continuing education workshops on vestibular rehabilitation and guest lectured at the University of Illinois at Chicago department of Physical Therapy and the Chicagoland OMPT meetings on cervical dizziness and vascular insufficiency. Prior to beginning a PhD program at the University of Rochester last fall, he worked with Dr. Tim Hain at Chicago Dizziness and Hearing which allowed Frank to obtain further training and focus on cervical dizziness.
