involves multidisciplinary team approach may and usually requires intervention as early as in neonates and probably all the way till adulthood. The
management is not only focused on cheiloplasty / palatoplasty / rhinoplasty/ alveolar bone grafting but involves many other aspects such as feeding

Patients Complaints Bureau Committee
We are practising in a society which is becoming more consumer-orientated and litigious than ever before. Patients are more aware of their rights,
and more prepared to take legal action against practitioners. On occasions members of our profession will encounter patients who are unexpectedly
demanding, critical and unforgiving. This forum will bring together experts who will provide commentary on key medico-legal issues affecting the
dentists today. Cases will be analysed and discussed to gain a greater understanding of the link between communication skills and patient
dissatisfaction, the importance of documentation in protecting against disciplinary action and ultimately, effective practices to reduce risk. The
panellists will also provide expert advice on available resources and assistance to dentists who find themselves in a medico-legal predicament.
