Intel Group Exercise Class Descriptions
EXOS - Meet your health and wellness goals with the next
generation of EXOS Group Training powered by EXOS, formerly
Core Performance. Our 12-week programs are offered at the
beginning of each quarter and are designed to progressively
enhance your current fitness level – no matter your starting
point – through a variety of engaging and fun classes. Because
success requires rest, between each new session we will focus
on recovery, and regeneration, in addition to fun challenging
activities including friendly competitions and events. JOIN
ANYTIME, NO SIGN UP NEEDED, JUST SHOW UP FOR FUN!
EXOS Coaches’ Corner - EXOS specialists will be available onsite
during these scheduled hours to help you learn how to maximize
your time at the gym and take the guesswork out of your workout.
Show up to say hello, ask a question, or get a quick correction on
your form.
EXOS Body Transformation - Get a high voltage training session
with a combination of strength and metabolic movements to sculpt a
stronger and leaner body.
EXOS Core & Movement - Reap the benefits of guided, structured
exercise designed to reinforce effective core engagement and
movement in daily life. This class focuses on elements of Pilates
and Yoga to strengthen your Pillar (shoulders, core and hips). We
will work on strategies geared towards moving in a slow and
controlled manner.
EXOS Foundations – Get started with the Core Essentials to
movement. The class will focus on building a foundation for
improving movement quality, while increasing strength.
EXOS Fundamentals - Learn the Core Essentials to get fit and feel
great. The class will focus on building a foundation, improving
movement quality, and increasing strength. This is a great place
to start for beginners.
EXOS Metabolic Challenge - Feel stronger and leaner with this
fast-paced class. You’ll pick up the pace during these calorieburning circuit workouts made up of strength, agility, and equipmentbased movements.
EXOS Recovery and Regeneration – Designed to facilitate
recovery from physical activity or work stressors. This class includes
reinvigorating self-massage, light stretching, and stability
movements to help you reduce aches and pains and begin or return
to activity.
EXOS Take A Walk - Join us for a walk around campus or around
the Folsom area. Get outside for short, medium, or long routes. All
fitness levels welcome.
EXOS Total Body Strength - Get strong and feel powerful with this
full-body class. You’ll focus on developing stability, strength, and
power. The result will be a stronger and leaner body.
Body Pump - BODYPUMP™, the original LES MILLS™ barbell
class, will sculpt tone and strengthen your entire body fast!
BODYPUMP™ challenges all of your major muscle groups
while you squat, press, lift and curl. BODYPUMP™
choreography and chart-topping music is refreshed every three
months, so with your choice of weight can get the group effect and
the results you've been looking for!
Bollywood Dancing - A dance style from Asia and is popular in
America. It originates from India from the Indian movie industry,
Bollywood.

Boxing - Join the Intel boxing fitness classes on Fridays and
participate in what is used in today’s top boxing gyms to get you to
your fitness goals. Training includes exercises such as jump rope,
medicine ball, punch bags, mitt work, abs, and boxing
offense/defense drills, just to name a few.
P90X - Targeted training for lean muscle development and a
supercharged metabolism (video led).
R.I.P.P.E.D. - The One Stop Body Shock™ is a "Plateau Proof
Fitness Formula" because each component of the workout provides
a uniquely different emphasis or system response, so your body
never gets accustomed to the constantly changing format.
R.I.P.P.E.D. stands for Resistance, Intervals, Power, Plyometrics
and Endurance. This workout is to help you attain and maintain your
physique in ways that are fun, safe, do-able and extremely effective.
Recovery with Jin Shin Jyutsu -Bring balance to the body’s
energies and promote optimal health and well-being. Holding the
twenty six “safety energy locks” in combination can bring balance to
mind, body and spirit.
(Shotokan) Karate - Classes emphasize effectiveness, efficiency,
strength, flexibility, balance, timing, speed, coordination, and unity of
mind and body.
Performance Specialists
Spin - Participants are guided through workout phases, including
warm up, up tempo cadences, sprints, climbs and cool downs.
Participants control resistance on the bike to make it as easy or
difficult as you choose. Bring a towel and a water bottle

XFIT - Combines elements from Cross Fit, MMA, Spartan, Insanity
and other training methodologies where the focus is on constantly
varied, functional movement, and is executed at a high intensity.
Yoga - Class integrates many aspects of yoga to bring a whole mind
and body revitalization. Pranayama are introduced to reduce stress,
calm the nervous system, and detoxify the body. Strength and
flexibility Asanas sequences are applied to warm and tone the
muscular body. This class ends with deep stretches to address your
joints and connective tissue in the body.
