Thank you for coming out tonight and supporting the Alamance County Service League. We are a group of women who dedicate their time and talents to serve a number of nonprofit organizations in our community. This year, we are volunteering our time for: Alamance ElderCare, ARC of Alamance County, Christmas Cheer, Family Abuse Services, Friendship Center, Good Shepherd Kitchen, Little Pink Houses of Hope, Meals of Wheels, Open Door Clinic, and PreK Reading at Alamance-Burlington Schools. In addition, we raise money through fundraisers and mailings for our Special Services Fund. This fund helps individuals and families in need, most of whom are in midst of a crisis in their lives. In the past year, we have helped people who have lost everything in a fire, women who need help starting over after escaping an abusive relationship, and people who are facing mounting bills after an illness or death in the family. By coming out tonight and supporting us, you are really providing a helping hand to numerous people in our community! So have a great time, enjoy the wonderful food, music and games, and we hope you win some great things in our silent auction!
