to check in advance as to the
best location to view the cortege.
The mortal remains of King
Richard III will be taken from
the University of Leicester, to the
site of the battle at Fenn Lane
Farm for a private ceremony
and will then travel to the nearby
villages of Dadlington and
Sutton Cheney for short
ceremonies at each. Then
they will move on to the
Bosworth Battlefield Heritage
Centre where the Rt Revd Tim
Stevens, Bishop of Leicester
will lead a short ceremony and
then the cortege will depart for
Leicester via Market Bosworth,
Newbold Verdon and Desford.
The mortal remains will be
received into the city and a
walking procession will travel
around the city before arriving
at Leicester Cathedral. An invited
congregation will attend a short
service.

bed which King Richard III

battle and surrounding area,
take part in a walk with the
Battlefield Guides, enjoy falconry
displays, living history and
re-enactment events throughout
the year.
At the multi award winning
Bosworth Battlefield Heritage
Centre, you can find out more
about the Battle of Bosworth
where King Richard III fought
for his crown and lost his life
and Henry Tudor became king.
With interactive, hands on
displays you can find out
more about the War of the
Roses, medieval warfare, how
the battle unfolded and the
impact of the new and
powerful Tudor dynasty.

Just off the A46 Leicester bypass, this award-winning park is a
patchwork of lakes, waterways, meadows, woodland and
