Tigers Announce Tryouts for all teams: June 13-14 Tryouts for The Michigan Tigers FutbolClub are scheduled for the second weekend in June. Registration is open and you can register through the Tigers web site. The Tigers will be supporting boy’s teams from U-7 through U-18 age groups and girl’s teams from U-7 through U-13. Tryouts will be located at Wide World Sports Center 2140 Oak Valley Dr. in Ann Arbor. Players are to wear soccer socks covering shin guards, athletic shoes (soccer shoes), bring an inflated ball and water in a re-usable water bottle. Tryout jerseys will be provided. Please arrive 30 minutes before the scheduled time to check in with a parent or guardian. Tryout times are listed on the Tigers web site under tryouts tab. Coaching Additions Announced The Michigan Tigers are pleased to announce Coach Jonathon Heslop has the NSCAA three coaching additions for the 2015-2016 season! Coaches Pedro Rita, Jonathon Heslop, and Jason Smith will be joining the professional coaching staff for next year and will begin with the club at tryouts. Advanced National Diploma and the English F.A. Level 2 coaching license. He’s been on the MichiganODP staff, and is an assistant coach at Ann Arbor’s Concordia University. JohnoHeslop currently plays for AFC Ann Coach Pedro Rita holds an USSF ”A” License, a Arbor, the city’s semi-professional soccer team. Coach Jason Smith possesses a USSF National D Bachelor's Degree in physical education, and a Master's Degree from Cambridge State University. Rita began License and has 11 years of coaching experience for area playing soccer in Brazil in 1970 and playedprofessionally clubs including Ann Arbor Arsenal, Vardar Ann Arbor, from 1983 to 1999. After retiring, he moved to the United and Michigan Rush. He received his Bachelor’s degree in States and taught physical education at NiagaraCounty physical education from Albion College in 2006, where Community College and after coming to Ann Arbor, he played soccer after graduating from Tecumseh High became the Head SoccerCoach for the University of School in 2002. A player engaging in the 5 Soccer Genius measurements can expect to spend approximately one hour participating in the process. During this time they will receive advice and instruction from their team coach and the Soccer Genius coach. They will watch other players perform and learn from them. Players will be given the opportunity to dribble, pass and receive, perform a game action running test, measure their proficiency shooting on goal and conclude with a measurement of their shot velocity.
