Our theme of Transformed Warrior is based in Joel 3:9-11 and carries over from our winter theme of ‘Tranformed’. The highlight of this theme will be the simulated Bible battles based in Judges, 1&2 Samuel and 1&2 Kings. All boys and men are welcome to participate but they need to prepare by making weapons (foam based). Information posted at www.michrr.com will have detailed instructions on appropriate weapon building. In addition we will have ranges (archery, 22, shotgun), swimming & boating and other field games. We also encourage outposts to each bring a game to share at their camp site (ie. volleyball, horseshoes, etc.). We plan to offer the Rocketry merit for boys to earn. Edited in Wixom, MI The Lost Valley field will offer a great site for launching. Our events will finish with a special afternoon competition finals which will include Gaga ball tournament, Tails game and Team tug of war. More details about Summer Adventure Camp activities including cabin and meal options will soon be available and shared. Most Awesome Overnighter & Field Day The Metro Section is sponsoring it’s annual Overnighter & Field Day event on May 29-30 at Real Life Farm in Canton. This is a great event for younger boys and parents. The Real Life Farm offers a great site for games and activities, but the best part may be the great variety of animals. Farmer Don has rabbits, chicks, kittens, miniature goats and sheep as well as many other animals to pet and feed. The cost is only $15 which includes activities, meals, event patch and awards. Attenders can opt for the Friday night camping and Saturday Field Day, or just attend the Saturday Field competition. This event is open to all ranger groups and their siblings. If you bring a non-ranger friend – they attend for free!
