CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
1-2) Combined Test (CT): The combined scores of your dressage
and cones course will be used for awards.
3-4) Horse Driving Trial (HDT): All three phases (Dressage, Cones
and Marathon) scores combined for awards. The Marathon course
will be 4-6km with 4 obstacles and compulsory gates. Exact length
will be available on Friday evening.
If sufficient entries in any class, we will split into Single/Multiples
VSE/Pony/Horse divisions.
What is Horse Driving Trial? There are three parts: First you drive your
dressage test, then after a short break, drive your cones course. Later that day,
you’ll drive the “B” obstacles section of a marathon course. All three parts are
held on one day. Timing/scoring will be based on ADS specifications for that
division level and size of horse.

web site: www.americandrivingsociety.org. The Driving dressage tests can also
be found on the ADS web site.
REMOVING THE BRIDLE FROM AN ANIMAL HARNESSED TO A VEHICLE OR
LEAVING AN ANIMAL UNATTENDED WHILE HITCHED ANYWHERE ON THE
GROUNDS WILL RESULT IN ELIMINATION.
Negative Coggins required for all horses. Please send copy with entry.
*Includes MTCC membership. Due to insurance costs, all participants
must be members of MTCC.
Same horse or driver may not enter in more than one of the classes.
Navigators/grooms will be allowed to go out on more than one carriage
only when it will not cause timing conflicts.
Percy Warner Park rules: No overnight camping. Dogs must be leashed.
NO ONE may ride/drive on the actual steeplechase course.
Overnight Stabling:
24 permanent stalls, $50 fee for use of stall Friday/Saturday/Sunday.
Additional $50 SEPARATE check must accompany entry for stall deposit,

To be signed by EVERY participant, including each person who rides with a
driver on a carriage not only during the actual event, but including ANY time
from arrival to departure.
I understand that neither the Middle Tennessee Carriage Club (“MTCC”) and its officers, the Driving
Event Competition (“Competition”), Competition judges, officials, volunteers, or organizing committee
nor the property owners accept any responsibility for accidents, damage, injury or illness to the horses,
owners, riders, drivers, grooms, passengers, attendants, spectators or any other person or property in
connection with this competition. I hereby expressly agree for myself and my principals, representatives,
employees and agents: (1) to be bound by the rules of this competition; (2) that every horse, driver,
attendant, groom and/or passenger is eligible as entered; and (3) and to accept as final any decision of the
competition officials on any question arising under the rules of the competition, and agree to hold the
MTCC, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and agents, and competition judges, officials and
organizing committee, harmless for any action taken. I am fully aware that horse sports, including
driving, and this competition involve inherent dangerous risk of serious injury or death and by
participating I do so voluntarily and expressly assume any and all risks of injury or loss, and I agree to
indemnify and hold the MTCC, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and agents, and
competition judges, officials and organizing committee, harmless from and against all claims including
any injury or loss suffered during or in conjunction with the Competition, whether or not such claim,
injury or loss resulted, either directly or indirectly, from the negligent acts or omissions of the MTCC, its
officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and agents, or competition judges, officials and organizing
committee.
MTCC Schooling Driving Event, Assumption of Risk, Waiver and Indemnification
I AGREE in consideration for my participation in the Competition, the MTCC
Schooling Driving Event, to the following:
I AGREE that I choose to participate voluntarily in the Competition with my horse, as a
rider, driver, handler, lessee, owner, agent, coach, trainer, or as parent or guardian of a junior
exhibitor. I am fully aware and acknowledge that horse sports and the Competition involve
inherent dangerous risks of accident, loss, and serious bodily injury including broken bones, head
injuries, trauma, pain, suffering or death (“Harm”).
I AGREE to release the MTCC and the Competition from all claims for money damages
or otherwise for any Harm to me or my horse and for an Harm caused by me or my horse to
others, even if the Harm resulted, directly or indirectly, from the negligence of the MTCC or the
Competition.
I AGREE to expressly assume all risks of Harm to me or my horse, including Harm
resulting from the negligence of the MTCC or the Competition.
I AGREE to indemnify (that is to pay any losses, damages, or costs incurred by) the
MTCC and the Competition and to hold them harmless with respect to claims for Harm to me or
my horse, and for claims make by others for any Harm caused by me or my horse at the
Competition.
I have read the Competition rules about protective equipment, and I understand that I
am entitled to wear protective equipment without penalty.
If I am a parent or guardian of a junior exhibitor, I consent to the child’s participation
and AGREE to all of the above provisions and AGREE to assume all of the obligations of the
Release on the child’s behalf.
I AGREE that “MTCC” and “Competition” as used above includes all of their officials,
officers, directors, employees, volunteers, agents, personnel, and affiliated organizations.
BY SIGNING BELOW, I AGREE to be bound by all application Competition Rules and all terms
and provisions of this entry blank.
