The Lord’s Day APRIL 26, 2015 11:00 a.m. PRELUDE Prelude on “O God, Beyond All Praising” arr. Callahan CALL TO WORSHIP **HYMN OF PRAISE “Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise” #38 *INVOCATION **CONFESSION OF FAITH The Apostles’ Creed I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost; born of the Virgin Mary; suffered under Pontius Pilate; was crucified, dead, and buried. He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven; and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen. **HYMN OF PRAISE “My Hope Is Built on Nothing Less” #522 SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM (Please do not use flash cameras during worship. We will be happy to provide an opportunity for pictures after the service) PRAYER Rev. Marc Harrington WELCOME (Please sign the registration pad with complete address) THE GIVING OF GOD’S TITHES AND YOUR OFFERINGS OFFERTORY O the Deep, Deep Love of Jesus *DOXOLOGY arr. Shackley #731 *THE OFFERTORY PRAYER ANTHEM Tree of Life Thompson Turn our hearts, turn our minds, make us branches holding fast to the vine. Patient Keeper, draw us to your tender mercy, Tree of Life. We remember we are mortal, breath of God, but of the earth. Through the desert we must travel, tasting hunger, knowing thirst. Turn our hearts, turn our minds, make us branches holding fast to the vine. Patient Keeper, draw us to your tender mercy, Tree of Life. We are sinful, we are prideful. We have all gone astray. Deep within us we are needful of a clean heart day by day. Turn our hearts, turn our minds, make us branches holding fast to the vine. Patient Keeper, draw us to your tender mercy, Tree of Life. As we travel on our journey take our hearts and make them new. Jesus walked this road before us as our God, but human, too. Jesus walked this road before us as our God, but human, too. Turn our hearts, turn our minds, make us branches holding fast to the vine. Patient Keeper, draw us to your tender mercy, Tree of Life. *HYMN OF PREPARATION “All That I Am I Owe to Thee” (Children K4-1st grade dismissed to children’s church.)
