optimal results for patients. LEDs have been extremely beneficial in improving patients’ skin, both on their own
and in combination with other treatments. A combination of red and near-infrared light not only provides
anti-aging benefits, it also helps clear acne-prone skin. Additionally, the red and blue LEDs are a first-line
defense for acne patients. With Lumière, patients have seen dramatic improvements in skin texture and tone.

Melissa Haloossim is a nurse practitioner and the managing director of Skin
Health Experts Medical Corporation at Kate Somerville. Melissa started
her nursing career in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Childrens Hospital
Los Angeles. Her training in skincare began as a nurse in private practice
for a plastic surgeon and dermatologist. She has been working as an aesthetic nurse for the past six years,
performing laser treatments and administering cosmetic injections and LED therapy. Through experience
and training, she has learned to integrate procedures to achieve optimal results. Melissa earned a Bachelor of
Science in Animal Science from The University of California-Davis, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from
Mount St. Mary’s College, and a Master of Science in Nursing from UCLA.
