There are no accidents.
Christine Rivinius is a real go-getter. She works hard
and gets results as a top performing real estate agent
in Bismarck, North Dakota. She’s just as busy in her
roles as a devoted wife and mother of two.
With such a jam-packed life, Christine isn’t accustomed to taking breaks. There’s just too much to do!
Not so long ago, Christine did something she never
does. She tried to let herself off the hook for just one
morning at her company’s annual conference.
“I tried to make myself sleep in,” says Christine. “But I
was overwhelmed with a feeling deep within me that
told me if I stayed in my room, I could miss something, something that could change my life.”
Incredibly, Christine discovered a new way of living in
that morning session. This epiphany would lead her
to a path that she hadn’t even known existed. It was a

on Raising the Bar
Christine is, by anyone’s definition, a successful person. She found her perfect niche in the world of real estate and is enjoying the benefits that come from truly loving her work. When I met Christine, I could see she
was already moving at the speed of light. Her enthusiastic motivation is a magnet that draws people to her,
and it shows. Yet what often comes along with people that are the “Do-ers” of the world is a relentless pursuit to be more and do more. And with Christine, this is true. And I admire that quality! Yet as I worked with
Christine, I could see that she was consuming a tremendous amount of energy that could be reduced and that
is what we focused on.
How? By learning to be a better communicator. You see, what often comes along with people that have the
same type of passion and commitment to success as Christine is an inner dialogue that is constantly searching
for the next step. Constantly searching for ways to improve situations or opportunities. Over a short period
of time, Christine learned to calm that inner dialogue and instead learned to have more powerful conversations with those around her. This made all the difference in the world.
What used to be mind-consuming and time-consuming now requires much less effort. From her business
dealings to parenting two daughters, she gets to the heart of matters faster and finds everything is just, well,

If you look at Christine now and compare her to the Christine she was two years ago, you might not recognize
