JUDGES COMMENTS:
What a great weekend in Toowoomba! The weather was warm and the goats were great. The competition was very tight which made my job very hard. The
does were sound and their confirmation was spot on but still they retained their femininity. The adult champion doe was beautiful and should go on to breed
many lovely kids for her owner. The bucks - well they were solid, strong and great boned. There was no mistaking they were the boys. The adult champion buck
was really something; strong and masculine and more than worthy of winning. The kid classes are always fun for me to judge as they are the future of any breed
and any breeding programmes and they were a pleasure to judge. All the classes were tight with no tale end as we do see at some shows. Like I said, the
competition was tight and I enjoyed the time spent in the ring judging. Thank you again for the opportunity to come to Toowoomba to judge your wonderful
goats.
– Trevor Waterston
SHOW MANAGERS COMMENTS:
A big thank you goes out to all our fabulous exhibitors who attended the Toowoomba Royal Show. With 9 studs exhibiting, 88 goats entered resulting in a
total of 126 entries! On the day we had a huge show with our largest number of entries since I began managing the Queensland Show Circuit. I especially
wish to thank our judge Mr Trevor Waterson for flying up from Victoria to share his experience and judging knowledge with all of us. I’m sure we all
learned something from him on the day. Thank you also to Harrison’s Hire and Stoney Creek Farm for sponsoring this show and enabling us to be able to
bring an interstate judge to Queensland to judge for us.
