The effort to produce a World Heritage nomination for the San Antonio Missions has been a total community
effort over a number of years. All property owners within the nomination boundary, all elected and appointed
officials at the federal, state, and local levels whose jurisdiction includes part of the property, all local
organizations and institutions with an interest in historic preservation, and the general citizenry have provided
continuing support. In addition, a number of national and international experts have contributed their expertise
and enthusiasm to the project.
