The 19th Annual Santa Slamfest is slated for December 12-13, at the UNK Health & Sports Center
in Kearney. The tournament is open to boys and girls 4th-8th grade teams. All teams will play three
games.
This tournament is limited to just 64 teams and will sell out early!
Please return the enclosed entry form to secure your teams’ spot in
the tournament!
Medals will be awarded to first place finishers in each division. All
games will be played at the UNK Health & Sports Center.
The entry fee is $140 per team. Rules will be similar to most youth
tournaments, including 8 minute running clock quarters, with the
clock stopping on free throws, timeouts, injuries and the last minute
of each quarter. No full court press is allowed in the 4th & 5th grade
girls divisions. A complete list of rules will be included when the game
schedules are posted.
This tournament has been a complete sell out each year and fills very
early due to the limited spots available.

ENTRY FEES: Registration fee for all teams is $140. We ask that each team pay with one check payable to
Mr. Basketball, Inc. Sorry, no refunds after registration submitted. A $95 fee will be retained if the event is cancelled
due to weather.
BRACKETS: All teams are guaranteed 3 games. Only in very rare situations, we reserve the right to combine two
grades if necessary to complete a bracket.
PLAYERS: Players must compete in their grade classification. Exception: Younger players may participate in older
divisions. Players can compete on only one team in the tournament. If incorrect information is provided, the player
and team may be ineligible.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: First come, first served until 64-team limit is reached.
RULES: Games will consist of 8 minute quarters. The clock will stop on all free throws, time-outs, and injuries, and
the last minute of each quarter. All teams must have numbered jerseys. A team may only press to a 10 point lead.
Intermediate size ball (28.5) used for all divisions. No full court press allowed in 4th & 5th grade girls.
AWARDS: Medals will be presented to 1st place in each division.
NOTIFICATION: Schedule packets for participating teams will be posted on our website at misterbasketball.com and
missbasketball.com by December 4. Teams not accepted will be notified at the earliest date possible.

breakfast buffet!! They have a very nice “fundome” with indoor pool, hot tub and more that is a great gathering area
for players & parents. Tell them you are with the Mr. Basketball room block to access our rooms/rate!
BEST WESTERN PLUS 308-234-2541 completely remodeled in 2009, this property is on the south side of I-80 next.
They have a new indoor pool, hot tub, fitness room and complimentary breakfast. Call the Sales Manager, Kelly Krier
at 308.440.5488 during regular business hours to setup a room block for your team. If booking a single room in a block,
please contact the front desk. Rooms are $99.99 per night plus tax.
COUNTRY INN & SUITES 308-236-7500 has rooms for $125 per night with four persons per room, plus tax. This is
a nice motel with indoor pool, hot tub, complimentary hot breakfast. Be sure to indicate you’re with the Mr. Basketball
room block.
