GEORGIA O’KEEFFE AND THE SOUTHWESTERN STILL LIFE tells the story of the Southwest as seen through the eyes of the artists who lived there. One might imagine the typical vehicle would be landscapes, however the most striking images of the Southwest produced were still-life paintings depictLQJFRPSHOOLQJREMHFWVVHOHFWHGWRGHÀQH and symbolize this region. The exhibition features more than 50 works and provides fascinating examples of art’s capacity to capture the essence of a particular place.
