May 4, 2015
I am pleased to welcome Brian Zinke to ARIA as Director of Surveillance. Brian oversees all
surveillance operations for the property, including the monitoring of Table Games, Cashier Cage,
Soft Count, Poker Room, Slots, and the Race & Sports Book. He is also responsible for the detection
of advantage play, cheating, theft, embezzlement, and other illegal activities in the casino, with a
strong focus on game protection.
Brian is a seasoned professional with almost three
decades of experience in Security and Surveillance. He
joins ARIA from Wynn Resorts, where he most recently
served as Games Protection Manager for the company’s
Las Vegas properties, Wynn Las Vegas and Encore.
There, he specialized in the detection and elimination
of all forms of advantage play. During his tenure, Brian
detected rating inaccuracies which resulted in millions of
dollars in savings. He also developed and implemented
the Wynn/Encore Games Protection Training Program
for their Table Games Department.
Brian previously worked at MGM Resorts International
for 17 years. He began his career with our Company in
1989 in The Mirage’s Security Monitor Room before
transferring to the Surveillance Department as a
Surveillance Operator. In 1998, Brian transferred to
Bellagio as a Surveillance Lead Operator and earned
subsequent promotions to Shift Supervisor and then
Manager of the department. Under his leadership,
Brian’s team identified and played a key role in
apprehending the individuals responsible for the highly
publicized 2000 robbery at the resort. In 2005, he was
promoted to Director of Surveillance at New York-New
York, where he provided oversight for all Surveillance
Department operations for the property.
Brian is a 2003 graduate of Bellagio’s Leadership
Development Program and is an MGM Resorts Diversity
Champion from the class, Bar Breakers.
Please join me in welcoming Brian to the ARIA team
and provide him with your full support as he assumes
his challenging new role.
